As a leaf falls from the calendar

We have finished another long year. It is as if everything will change in an instant as a leaf falls from the calendar, preferably for the better. To be honest, this feeling seems very strange to me; I have never experienced such a feeling in my life.

When a person is born, they are thrown onto a racetrack. It is a race that continues indefinitely in every area of life, under increasingly difficult conditions, and whose meaning is not very clear. While the race continues with a strange, meaningless ambition, our foot suddenly catches on a stone or our endurance fails, and it ends. Since human beings can never reconcile themselves to this game they always see, they cannot gain consciousness. Whenever they experience this game of nature personally, unfortunately, they bid farewell to life with the consciousness they have gained. When we think about it, this process is nature's great miracle. Because the existence of a human being is tied to the purpose of reproduction, which is nature's primary goal, and the survival of the existing individual is tied to the purpose of continuation. When we think existentially, reproduction and sustaining life are the miracles of nature. I don't know the reason, but this is the situation placed before us. With the wonderful expression of Candan Erçetin, I think we should reflect a great deal on the song "The greatest truth in life is death," taking into account the totality that nature has bestowed upon the tree of humanity, and we should turn from the individual to the totality of humanity. Since nature's purpose cannot be limited to the individual, and since the tree of humanity will be perfected through change via individuals, the life of each individual and the falling of a leaf from the calendar, which symbolizes the progress of life, is an important stage and gain in the totality of nature.

Unfortunately, because individuals cannot reach a Hegelian level of superior being or arrive at a Kantian understanding of virtue, they turn their individual journeys into a race of ambition, turning their short lives into hell. Although no one wants to stay in hell, instead of turning the hell into heaven collectively, they try to escape from hell with individual efforts in deep negligence. This struggle, which has been going on between individuals since the early stages of history, has come to the present day by pouring from the laws of nature into social laws.

Philosophers/thinkers who tried to re-evaluate by pouring humanity's meaningless attacks against each other into the laws of nature have stepped in. John Bates Clark, who lived in the 1600s, developed rules that could turn hostility between people, and even between times, into friendship with a wonderful explanation. According to Clark, the Creator has provided the individual with absolute freedom in two areas. One is the fertile land we live on, and the other is our labor power, which is under our absolute dominion. When nature and labor power are combined as a factor of production, a product is created. The owner of this product is, undoubtedly, the productive labor. The emergence of the famous labor theory of value was realized in such a pure natural environment. This theory covers all people simultaneously and across time in the context of natural law. Namely, first, anyone who wants to put in labor can participate in production and receive a share from production; second, we should not see nature as exclusive to our own use, but should protect it as an inheritance to be passed on to future generations. If the union of the individual and the nature they live on could be protected with this purity and cleanliness, perhaps we would not have drifted into either the equilibrium rule research of classical economists or wars.

But it didn't happen! As the Frankfurt School opened for discussion, did human reason serve the construction of peace and tranquility, or did it develop spite and hatred and drive humanity into restlessness? In human history, the conflict between individual reason and natural law represents the conflict between justice and power at the same time. The emergence of this conflict is the result of the formation of the phenomenon of capital, and its growth is the result of the cumulative growth of capital through exploitation. And the visible dominance established between individuals by brute force in the past has been established covertly through capital today. While this system, called capitalism, descends upon all societies like a dark nightmare, it can continue its life quite comfortably by presenting the developments it created through oppression as the system's service to humanity. While capital, which is seated in the seat of honor, maintains its power by exploiting labor to its core, it puts the state apparatus as a tool in between to avoid being seen on the stage and pulls itself into the background. As we close one year and move into the new one, the bias of the state apparatus and the announced minimum wage provide a clear picture of covert exploitation in developing economies like ours.

When we look at the issue of minimum wage, wages, and minimum wage, naturally melt rapidly in the face of rising prices. While profits rise, the rate of wage increase remains below the rate of inflation and melts. Like a zero-sum game, or like a seesaw, wages and profits develop in opposite directions due to system logic and practice. This situation is an indicator of the exploitative face of capitalism. However, workers are happy for a while when the minimum wage rises, but over time, as inflation rises and erodes wage increases, happiness turns into a nightmare. The happiness experienced in the first period when the minimum wage increases is sanctified by sacred economic theory as "money illusion."

Meanwhile, a bill for capital is also being discussed in parliament; inflation accounting! If we look at the subject of what this inflation accounting is, our answer would be this: It is a method of removing the tax burden that falls on capital assets in addition to monetary profit due to inflation while the profits of companies are taxed. However, according to natural law, capital is assets that have been created with labor power over time and whose ownership has been transferred to the boss by system law. If capital is seen as social assets representing dead labor power, wouldn't it be reasonable to transfer it from the ownership of bosses to social ownership?

Capitalism, which has taken shape as a historical stage, is dominant in today's societies as a power law against natural law. In this dominance, the economy against rights and law is the economic rule created by the powerful. With every transition to a new year, as we tear off each leaf from the calendar, we move away from natural law and advance into the chaos of oppressive capitalism law. One must celebrate this transition as a form of anesthesia so that we can forget the pains we experience, at least a little bit.
