The AKP's desire for a new constitution must be suppressed

It appears that the AKP and its leadership believe that the most favorable period for social and political formation to draft a new constitution has been reached, as they are constantly pushing for one. In this situation, let us ask two questions. First, does our country need a new constitution, and if so, what should the model be? Second, are the AKP and the current parliament capable of drafting a new constitution?  

Let us first look at the AKP's economic management and administrative mentality to provide an answer to the second question from the start. As a simple citizen, I believe that the AKP, which has dragged the country into such difficult conditions in line with the directives of imperialism, does not possess the capacity to do much else in a new situation granted to it. If a person's work is a mirror of their mentality, you, my dear readers, can easily evaluate the situation. It seems that the only salvation for the AKP from the current conditions is to provide new opportunities to imperialists over the country in line with their directives. In line with this understanding, Mehmet Şimşek's sole task is to make the public accept this project in the least noticeable way. Thus, by finding some hot money in the first stage, the environment will be calmed, and in the medium term, the imperialists' main projects can be implemented. In other words, the imperialist's short-term resource support is tied to heavier economic promises in the medium and long term. Under today's conditions, a two-stage exploitation mechanism is on the agenda; the reason for this is not just that peripheral economies are collapsing, but that central economies are also in a phase of collapse. As such, the impact of central economies relying on peripheral economies is more severe than in the past.

As can be seen, the AKP has no other way in the difficult conditions of the economy. The current situation is nothing more than a link in the chronic development of capitalism. Naturally, the administrators have made huge mistakes in the current conditions. For example, the insistence on the 'Nas' (religious interest rate policy) is one of them. However, let us not forget that just as our politicians are not 100 percent our own creation, the policies they implement are, by the nature of the business, not for the benefit of the country's people, nor can they be! Let us please think about the reason why the AKP sees the survival problem not on the basis of the country, but on the basis of the party and its administrators. The most important issue that the CHP should consider while establishing a relationship with the ruling wing should be the AKP's mission in Turkey and the powers behind that mission. Indeed, when we look at the savings circular, while additional savings are requested from citizens who are already in a natural savings vortex due to inflation and low incomes, the resources transferred to crony capital and imperialists are not touched. As such, the ways to approach this problem pass through forcing the transfer of resources not from the general public, but from the wealthy, especially from the capital segment, including crony capital, and especially from public waste. Naturally, capital and imperialist circles strongly oppose such a project. However, if explained well to the public, such a savings project can also gain public support.  

The task of the opposition front should be to produce serious and consistent projects. By acting selectively in industrialization, while pushing for high-tech channels on the one hand, importance should be given to the development of production branches that will absorb high unemployment on the other. It is clear that the country's only economic problem is not deindustrialization. The agricultural sector in the country is also in a very serious state of collapse. The awareness that our people are facing a serious food problem must be fully understood and projects must be developed accordingly.

The opposition front should also address the fields of education, health, and law, and prevent and repair the widespread destruction in these areas. However, two serious problems may arise in such a repair program. The first of these is the difficulties that will be encountered during personnel changes. However, the second process will bring much more difficult conditions to the agenda. That is this: the AKP's employment ideology has simultaneously opened the door to bribery in the provision of public services. It is this very door of bribery that may encounter the resistance of those who have created an additional source of income for themselves while personnel and/or management changes are being made. Forcing the door of bribery may bring about a covert struggle not only with civil servants but also with a large segment of the public.

While such massive problems require a deep-rooted economic restructuring program on the one hand, and an equally deep-rooted social program on the other, it is thought-provoking and discouraging that almost all opposition parties, especially the CHP, form their thoughts and struggles in the political arena. What the CHP must do urgently is to absolutely not sit at the same table with the AKP and its leader, not to fall for the trap program presented under the name of normalization, and especially not to allow the nonsense of a new constitution with this parliamentary structure. The CHP leader, who made the mistake of meeting with the AKP president with the story of normalization, made a big blunder with this sincere behavior. While the CHP, as its primary duty, should bring to the agenda not only the short-term but also the long-term destruction that the AKP has dragged the country into and explain the situation to the public, the covert or open conflict or friction between the mayors and the party leader does not escape the public's attention and also plays into the AKP's hands. This friction, which weakens the opposition and paves the way for the AKP, must be resolved and the opposition must appear before the public as a whole. The field of work for the opposition should not be 'how do I come to power,' but 'what can I do after I come to power.' 

According to the AKP, the vital survival problem of the party, and especially the party president and its members, can only be solved with a new constitution. For the new constitution designed by the AKP, the public's inclination and the structure of politics have been brought to the most favorable position by the AKP, which has been in power for 22 years. In short, for the AKP, the time is exactly the time to make a constitution suitable for its own purpose! Against this, the opposition's strategy should be processed as the reconstruction and healthy operation of the country's survival problem, economy, and public institutions.

It seems that both sides need a new constitution, with one difference: the goals and directions of the constitutions targeted by the opposing sides are opposite and different!
