The magic of touching a book: feeling the scent of the pages

Touching a book, turning its pages, and even feeling the scent of the paper is something very special.

Books, which are indispensable staples of libraries, bookstores, and the shelves in our homes, do not just tell stories; they also bring many emotions and experiences along with them. 

The magic of touching a book begins the moment you open its cover. Having your fingers wander between the pages of a book, feeling the softness and texture of each page, is an important part of having a true reading experience.

And the scent of the book… 

Feeling the scent of the pages is almost a ritual. Nothing compares to that magnificent smell. The fresh paper of a brand-new book, the scent of an old book that defies time—each tells a different story. As we get lost between the pages of books, our senses are enriched along with these scents, and the reading experience becomes even more special.

Reading or listening to books in the digital environment that has entered our lives in recent years can, of course, be practical and convenient. I am not against these either. Otherwise, I wouldn't be writing on this platform. I believe that many of my friends who write in these environments would, like me, prefer to reach you through printed material.

A book is not just a story, but also a door through which we can get lost in that story, explore our emotions, and expand our imagination. While each book offers you its own world, you get lost in that world and find your own. As you turn the pages, you feel as if you are on a treasure hunt, as if you have embarked on a new adventure. Getting lost between the pages of a book is like taking a journey into your inner world; with every page and every line, you open the doors to a new world.

We can never replace the experience of encountering a flower we dried inside a book, a bookmark carefully chosen during a trip, or holding a book bearing the author's signature and getting lost in its pages with an e-book in a digital environment. A book is not just a story; it also expresses a lifestyle, a worldview, and an experience through its cover, the details inside, and its texture.

This is not just a reading experience, but also an emotional experience.
