I am filled with an anger that consumes a person, nurtured by a deep sense of helplessness.

Terrorism, which has been ongoing in Turkey for over 40 years, has once again snatched young people from life.

12 people in the prime of their lives...

12 people who were born, grew up, were swaddled with love and care, and were the apple of their mothers' and fathers' eyes... They were laid to rest in the dark earth with their hopes, great longings, and dreams.

Leaving behind mothers, fathers, siblings, and lovers who will live like ghosts from now on...

While such a great apocalypse is being experienced in the souls of mothers and fathers, we, as a society, are experiencing another apocalypse with the collapse of society.

Whether we are aware of it or not... We are living through the 'apocalypse of humanity' in a period where all values are sacrificed to damned ambitions, the greed for power and money, and the desire for governance.

NO ONE IS ASKING QUESTIONS, NO ONE CAN ASK

Young dead bodies are being used as material for politics before they have even cooled. They are being turned into a propaganda tool ahead of the local elections. This is a terrible reality... A hair-raising lack of conscience.

No one is asking, "How did our soldiers become targets, wasn't terrorism supposed to be over, wasn't it said that only 70-80 terrorists remained and even their shoe sizes were known, why hasn't the government, which has held all the power of the state for 21 years, ended terrorism, why don't the children of the rich go to the military, why do the children of the powerful play with millions of dollars while the uneducated, unemployed, poor children of the needy die?"

And the voices of those who do ask are so faint that they cannot even hear themselves.

As always, before the soldiers were even laid to rest, government representatives, the pus-oozing pens of the pro-government media, and trolls who use social media as a dynamic for provocation and perception went into action.

Evil showed its insidious face. The mask of sadness was donned, and the presence of the dead bodies began to be exploited.

The soldiers were forgotten, perhaps even never cared about; the issue was suddenly brought to associating the CHP with terrorism.

AKP SUCCEEDED AGAIN, THE OPPOSITION WAS ASSOCIATED WITH TERRORISM

One of the most powerful perception and guidance tools in the hands of the government is terrorism...

There is a massive perception system directed by the AKP with a giant budget. Its enormous media, fed by public resources, and professional social media hitmen funded with millions of liras, instantly steer the agenda as they wish.

By activating the methods they have specialized in very easily, they succeeded again.

While those who should be held accountable for the 12 lives were as comfortable as if they were not responsible, political rivals were associated with terrorism before the local elections, society was pushed into tension, and lynching material was provided to the pro-government media.

ELECTION CAMPAIGN WITH A FAKE VIDEO

Let us briefly recall how the AKP government tried to harvest votes in the past and what they did before.

As everyone knows, before the general elections, a video was released showing PKK member Murat Karayılan applauding.

Afterwards, a perception campaign was launched claiming that the terrorist organization PKK was supporting the Nation Alliance.

President Erdoğan had the masses watch the clip of Kılıçdaroğlu's election song accompanied by footage of PKK members clapping at rally grounds.

With this video, which was as simple as primary school level, seeds of hostility were sown into the minds of masses who had lost touch with reality, who did not question, who applauded slander even if they knew the truth, and who covered up the truth.

The election campaign was conducted using 'terrorism', one of the deepest sensitivities regarding the Turkish people.

The video was so unreal that even saying "That video was fake" is a burden to a person.

Despite this, the verification platform teyit.org conveyed to the Turkish society with an analysis that the video was not real. (Analysis)

The verification platform Doğruluk Payı also announced to the public with the content it prepared that Erdoğan's montage video did not reflect the truth. (Content)

CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu reacted to Erdoğan, who played a staged video at rally grounds, by calling him a "Montage fraudster". He said, "Politics is a matter of ethics. Moral people should engage in politics. You can criticize your opponent. Politics is not about slandering your opponent or setting traps. May God protect us from those who set traps and those who commit fraud. One who commits fraud cannot be president."

A 1 million TL lawsuit was filed against the President.

In the end, Erdoğan admitted himself that the video was a montage, but instead of taking a step back, he tried to come out on top by saying, "The PKK openly asked for votes for the CHP Chairman. Now they are shamelessly stomping on a 5-second video that is the product of our youth's quick wit."

What was done with this whole video?

First of all, the giant government media, countless pens with unlimited imagination in creating perception, and thousands of professional and amateur trolls threw the opposition in front of the public, which has PKK sensitivity.

What is more terrible is the government's effort to turn this sensitivity, the pain of the martyred soldiers, and even the drama of the children left behind by the martyrs into votes in the elections.

Not content with the influence of newspapers, television channels, hundreds of websites, and thousands of troll accounts, the government used Meta to run sponsored content with photos of martyrs to Facebook users in the provinces that gave the most martyrs.

They used martyr visuals in sponsored content, i.e., advertisements, where they called for votes on social media.

In these advertisements, which were designed separately for cities, in addition to the visuals of the soldiers who lost their lives, the following expressions were included:

"My patriotic brother from Ordu! On May 14, cast your vote in such a way that the voices of those who want autonomy, those who want to divide this homeland, the table of 7, and the HDP are silenced..."

This text was used for Facebook users living in many provinces from Denizli to Isparta, from Çorum to Kırklareli, from Ordu to Manisa, by only changing the name of the province.

Let me emphasize more clearly.

The AKP reached out to people experiencing the pain, loss, and anger of martyrs through social media advertisements to get votes.

It scratched this sensitivity and associated the opposition with terrorism. It created a perception as if the opposition, not itself, which has been governing the country for 21 years, was responsible for the soldier losses. It used not only the martyred soldiers but also their children who visited them at their graves.

They allocated a budget to show the value-exploitation content to at least 500 thousand people. They planned to show a single video to 500 thousand - 1 million people.

In other words, they turned pains, martyrs, patriotism, deaths, and orphaned children into 'sponsored content' material and demanded votes from the public.

Now it is as if everything is repeating itself.

After the loss of 12 soldiers, while the opposition was making statement after statement to explain itself and facing the danger of lynching at the martyr's funeral, President Erdoğan opened an airport runway.

He joked with businessman Ali Sabancı. He targeted the new leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, and made a call for the local elections.

So the goal is again the government, again more votes, again election success....

A dirty political order, a broken justice system, darkened consciences....

As a human and a journalist, my expectation is that deaths are not sanctified, and that dead bodies, the pain and anger of martyr families, and their children are not exploited.

While your own children continue their lives in luxury, comfort, plenty of money, peace, and entertainment, at least leave those who have passed away alone.
