As citizens of the Republic of Turkey, we are struggling with many problems in our country. At the top of the most fundamental problems is the collapse of our faith in justice.

Because great lawlessness is taking place in Turkey.

However, among our millions of problems, along with the collapse of the issue of justice, come the economic crisis, educational problems, impoverishment, and consequently cultural erosion and corruption, security issues, violence and abuse against women, children, and animals, and a general state of unhappiness.

We all know who is responsible for all of this.

In the flow of life, external factors can cause us to be happy or to withdraw into ourselves. As one of the countries that uses social media the most in the world, we follow Turkey and the world through social media. Even justice is dispensed on social media.

One of the developments that has attracted the most attention from society in recent days is the images from the tourism region, which I cannot quite figure out how to define with which word.

If I say "disgrace," it doesn't cover it; if I say "immorality," it doesn't cover it; if I say "corruption, ugliness, ignorance," it doesn't cover it... Such shameful images.

The images I am referring to are known to almost all of us.

Unbelievable moments displayed in entertainment venues in important holiday spots of the Aegean region. Harassment of female tourists. Abuse of child tourists by topless men in front of everyone's eyes. I express it this way because many people look at what happened only from the framework of visual pollution and a tourism disaster. While I agree with this, I argue that the issue should not be limited to this. The matter is not just about simple bad shows. There is also harassment and abuse involved.

I want to ask, anticipating that he follows these from the media monitoring center:

What does the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, who slipped through the Kartalkaya fire—one of the greatest disasters the Republic of Turkey has experienced since its founding—as easily as pulling a hair from butter, continues to serve as minister, does not care in the slightest about calls for resignation, and has reached a new dimension in brazenness, think about the process?

What is he doing to combat such corruption, such ugliness, and the collapse in terms of tourism in a country that has the most beautiful nature, the most beautiful bays, and the most beautiful climate in the world?

The public sees from open sources that Minister Ersoy is focusing more on the successes of the tourism company he owns and his new hotel projects.

However, it should also be noted that everything consists of a whole.

Setting aside the tourism strategy that we can describe as "terribly bad," there are also security issues related to what is happening. Of course, the Ministry of Interior is also responsible for these.

As you can see, there are many areas in our country, which political Islamists have targeted by joining hands with imperialist centers, that require us to fight.

First and foremost, it is necessary to put forward an effort to raise the society's awareness of morality and conscience.

We did not arrive here in one day. Everyone surely has examples to give from their own lives, but my observations regarding the collapse in tourism started at least ten years ago.

I saw the reasons why Turkish tourists are flocking to Greece today years ago. Tourism tradesmen who enter into interest-based relationships with the police and gendarmerie, visionless people who envy and target quality operators, those who pressure operators trying to provide service at affordable prices to increase their prices using mafia-like methods, the ruthless plunder of seas and bays, the grievances suffered by families going on vacation, noise terror, low-quality music, extreme expensiveness, outright swindling, harassment, the ever-increasing effectiveness of the mafia, incidents reaching the point of murder in front of venues, knife fights, operators, venue owners, local people, law enforcement, and many more who turn a blind eye to all these things I have listed for their own petty interests...

Therefore, we did not arrive at these days all of a sudden. There are reasons for all these developments, for this point we have reached, for this descent into the pit, and they are spread over many years. How possible is it to live in a country where even the joys of vacation are destroyed, and how will we fight this? We all need to ask ourselves.

Let me end the article with a devastating statistical piece of information:

In 2024, 5.22 out of every 100,000 people in our country committed suicide.

This data is the highest crude suicide rate in the history of the Republic of Turkey...

The records of the Turkish Statistical Institute go back to 1975. According to this, it can be seen that the value of 5 has not been exceeded before.

In 2024, a total of 4,460 people ended their lives.

If you tried to count them, you would get tired; that is the kind of number it is... Think about it; 4,460 coffins... A pain that affects thousands of relatives... 4,460 funeral prayers... 4,460 times the question, "How did you know him/her?"...

Perhaps if we asked "Who, why, and under what conditions caused this?" instead of asking "How did you know him/her?" 4,460 times, we could have created a different picture...

The people responsible for a country where 12 people take their own lives every day are clear...

The one responsible for this is the government that has been dragging Turkey from darkness to darkness for a quarter of a century.
