The endless games of the AKP government and the real truth it wants to hide

The rapid change of the agenda in Turkey has made our effort to maintain our mental health a natural reflex. It would not be an exaggeration to say that every oddity is becoming normalized in our country.

Statements made in a planned manner and for specific purposes disrupt the psychology of society, shape the media, and create a powerful perception operation.

I used to laugh at people who approached every development with suspicion, looking for a reason, a person, an institution, or even global powers behind events. However, today I have come to believe that extraordinary events in Turkey, even if not consciously orchestrated, can be used in perception operations once they emerge as a phenomenon. Let me elaborate on this part...

It may seem exaggerated to you, but the picture becomes clearer when we remember what has happened in the last month.

HÜDA-PAR is a party known for its proximity to the Hizbullah organization, which in the past carried out bloody acts, killed people with "pig-tie" (domuz bağı) torture, and is associated with violence during Turkey's dark periods. Recently, a statement by the HÜDA-PAR Chairman targeting the constitution drew attention.

And the Chairman of this party, Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, advocated for the removal of the fourth article of the constitution. His statement caused a great stir on the country's agenda. However, it was soon understood that this statement was actually a "reaction-testing" attempt.

Then came a similar move from Numan Kurtulmuş, who in the past accused Erdoğan of 'becoming like Karun' (wealthy and arrogant) but is now in the same political party.

During the time interval of these statements, acts of violence and murders took place in Turkey.

The murder of eight-year-old Narin Güran and the failure to achieve results despite the perpetrators being clearly evident caused public outrage. The fact that a political Islamist family was protected by some figures during this process and the allegations that there were secrets regarding the incident drew attention.

The brutal murder of two women by Semih Çelik, who was known to have psychological problems and whose problems were recorded in state hospital records, was also recorded as an unforgettable atrocity. Çelik, who decapitated his girlfriend İkbal Uzuner and threw her head from the city walls, left a terrible impact on public opinion, but this incident was also soon forgotten.

While such events are taking place, it is surprising that the AKP is not held responsible for any negative development despite having governed the country for years.

The mass that votes for the AKP finds someone to blame for every bad event, but it is never the AKP. Everything that goes wrong is portrayed as the fault of the opposition, "foreign powers," or "internal agents."

On top of these, the "Newborn Gang" incident occurred. The existence of this gang, which led to the deaths of babies, was uncovered thanks to a courageous prosecutor.

However, it must be known that this horrifying incident, in which innocent babies were dragged to death for money, is a systemic problem.

While the AKP condemns the country to private hospitals in the health sector, it is clear that the entire system is built on how it can seize more of the public's resources.

When 12punto columnist Prof. Dr. Gökhan Arslan commented on this terrible gang, "Even if we go back 1000 years in history or 1000 years forward, we cannot witness such baseness. It happened on our watch," I agreed with him completely.

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's statement, "Let Apo speak in Parliament, let him benefit from the right to hope," shocked society.

The damage the terrorist organization PKK has caused to Turkey since 1978 is immeasurable. Thousands of our people have been killed. Soldiers, police, teachers, civilian citizens... Thousands of people....

This statement by Bahçeli naturally drew a great reaction from the families and relatives of martyrs. The terrorist attack on TUSAŞ one day after this statement further increased the confusion and question marks in this process.

Meanwhile, President Erdoğan chose to watch the developments silently following Bahçeli's words. As he always does... The journalists who went to Kazakhstan with him did not even ask about this statement. They could not ask... They posed for a photo on the plane together and claimed to be doing journalism.

Then, a trustee was appointed to the Esenyurt Municipality. Mayor Ahmet Özer's house was raided by police and searched. The footage of the raid was astonishing. Özer, who was said to have been monitored for 10 years, was, for some reason, detained immediately after Bahçeli's Öcalan statement. Because the effects of the anger Bahçeli created in society are still continuing.

Bahçeli made a "right to hope" move for Öcalan and started a new solution process. Erdoğan also showed that he was at the main control center of the process by praising Bahçeli in cautious language.

When Bahçeli said, "Let Öcalan come and speak in Parliament" and signaled the lifting of the isolation, the reaction was naturally great.

However, the government is so experienced that while promising freedom to Öcalan, it also managed to associate the opposition with terrorism in the eyes of society again.

It is truly unbelievable.

However....

The most important issue that the government does not want to come to the agenda while all these events are taking place is the commercial cooperation with Israel.

Ships are constantly going from Turkey to Israel, and many needs, from steel to wire mesh, are being met by Turkey.

They can no longer hide this trade, and they are not even making an effort to hide it. Despite the fact that Israel is responsible for the deaths of more than 50,000 people in Gaza, the AKP provides Israel with everything it needs. Acting with a hypocrisy expected from political Islamists, the AKP deceives the public by making it appear as if this trade is "going to Palestine."

Journalist Metin Cihan reveals with documents that Turkey's iron and steel exports to Palestine have shown an extraordinary increase recently and that this situation means trade with Israel is being carried out indirectly through Palestine.

According to TUIK data, while Turkey's iron and steel exports to Palestine were 282 thousand dollars in 2022, they increased to 32 million 988 thousand dollars in the same period of 2023, showing a 116-fold increase.

Cihan writes with all clarity that this increase stems from the fact that exports to Israel are shown in official records as if they were made to Palestine. Even Islamist social media accounts that unconditionally support the AKP are sharing this trade with their followers.

According to what Cihan conveyed, goods leaving Turkey are recorded at customs as if they are going to Palestine, but in reality, they are delivered to Israel. In other words, they are using Palestine as a front to bypass the trade ban on Israel. They are engaging in a sham...

Furthermore, according to the TUIK data shared by Cihan, Turkey's exports of fuel and industrial raw materials to Palestine also increased by 1,214 percent. This is considered an extraordinary trade volume, given Palestine's current economic and political conditions.

The AKP, which has specialized in corruption, profiteering, and plunder for nearly twenty-five years, has become just as experienced in propaganda.

The public, struggling with this complex and terrible agenda, is also struggling with the economic destruction created by the government.

It is clear that the struggle is difficult and will continue to spread over a long period...
