The real target is not the lieutenants! The attackers will not be satisfied with just the lieutenants

The Turkish Armed Forces have been undergoing a profound transformation in recent years. However, this transformation is not one aimed at strengthening the institution, remaining committed to its founding principles, or aligning with the philosophy of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

On the contrary, this transformation consists of the effects of a vile plan that is insidiously designed and openly implemented, aiming to weaken it from within.

The first blow to the Turkish Armed Forces came with a "coordinated" and "planned" operation.

Hundreds of officers were tried and convicted through forged documents and a despicable conspiracy. Many were removed from their posts.

FETÖ members were brought in to replace these weakened ranks. They were not satisfied with just this operation.

Military academies were placed under the umbrella of the National Defense University. This move was a direct intervention into the TSK's education system. Thus, the way was paved for sects and religious communities to flourish once again in military academies.

Allowing female officers and students to wear headscarves was ostensibly a move for freedom. However, political Islamists, who cloak every trick in the guise of faith and freedom and feed on 'perpetual victimhood,' shook the cultural balance based on secularism within the army by making the headscarf a part of the official uniform with this decision. The neutral stance of the army gradually evolved into an ideological shift.

The moves continued. Political Islam, nurtured, grown, and utilized by imperialist circles, appearing sometimes as a non-governmental organization and sometimes as the government itself against the republic and its values, continued its insidious hostility through unimaginable methods.

What they did satisfied them, after all.

They closed military hospitals. Once these hospitals, which are critical for war injuries and specialized treatment needs, were closed, soldiers and veterans were condemned to civilian hospitals for treatments requiring expertise.

The only answer that comes to mind for the question "Why did they do it?" is "Out of pure treachery"...

On the other hand, military high schools, which were closed without cause, were one of the cornerstones of the merit system. Young people who took their first steps into military life at high school age were trained with discipline, morality, and patriotism.

This deep-rooted tradition gave way to a civilianized system, even one guided by ideological influences. This country has seen a general participating in a sect's dhikr.

Is it over? Of course not.

Recall the recent debate between young lieutenants committed to Atatürk's principles and their sect-affiliated colleagues in the near future. The Atatürkist lieutenants were dismissed from their profession.

Now, lieutenants who recited the Military Academy oath at graduation ceremonies are being targeted on the grounds of discipline. They are facing expulsion from the profession. They are being subjected to attempts at devaluation by paid troll gangs.

Those whose minds are corrupted, who view the homeland, its founder, and its army as enemies, cannot stand those who say "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal."

They cannot tolerate progressivism, Atatürk's name, his power, or his worldview.

It seems these attacks will continue until the point where the political Islamist government, supported by the US, and its components and supporters say, "We have achieved everything now, we have ensured the transformation."

History always records those who stand in the right place. Now is the time to stand in that right place.
