Scenes of rural and urban life in a certain country(!)

Once upon a time, in a land far away, there was a beautiful country.

Its leaders were on the side of justice and the people, and their governance was perfect. Both the villagers and the city dwellers lived in prosperity. Their produce was abundant, and their earnings were secure. Education and healthcare services were free. There were no people committing suicide because they could not pay for private tutoring, no one left stranded at hospital doors, and no one making a living from garbage dumps.

Every citizen had a job and a home. In short, those living in that country were happy.

However, that country also had plenty of hypocrites and dissidents. They would criticize the successful leaders and were never satisfied with anything.

Let us look at what the scenes of rural and urban life looked like through the eyes of these hypocrites and dissidents:

FARMERS ARE FACING FORECLOSURE

The vast majority of farmers are unable to pay back the loans they took from banks and cooperatives, along with the interest, because they cannot market their produce at a fair price. Foreclosure proceedings against villagers have begun on a massive scale. Most of the fields are heavily mortgaged. Villagers have started paying their debts with credit cards. They are taking from one to pay the other. Credit card bankruptcies have also increased.

Those who use new tractors are in an even worse situation. Why? Because they sell their old tractors to cover their deficits. Then, they buy tractors on installments with zero down payment. This is how they are trying to keep the system running.

VILLAGERS ARE PAYING FOR TEA WITH EGGS

In that country, coffeehouses were the places where social communication was established in villages. In contrast, villagers can no longer even go to the coffeehouse, or they do not want to. Villagers who cannot even find the money for tea put two eggs in their pockets, go to the coffeehouse, and use them for barter. A barter economy has resurfaced.

VILLAGERS HAVE BECOME SLAVES TO WHOLESALE MERCHANTS AND FACTORIES

Producers who grow fruits and vegetables work for wholesale merchants. Milk purchase prices are determined by capitalists in large dairy factories. While feed prices rise, factories lower their milk purchase prices. When milk prices drop, they even send dairy cows to the butcher for pennies in that country. Later, milk prices are raised slightly. Upon this, they start buying pregnant heifers from clever foreigners again.

VILLAGERS ARE ABANDONING FARMING AND FLEEING TO CITIES

Those who go bankrupt from farming are fleeing to cities. It is said that millions of villagers have migrated to the cities. No one is staying on their land anymore; a total collapse is taking place. This situation is even more prevalent among young villagers.

Villagers make up the poor neighborhoods in the cities. With no jobs or work, selling votes for coal and bulgur has become common. New terms like "alms culture," "alms economy," and "alms elections" have emerged.

WHILE VILLAGERS CANNOT EARN MONEY, WHAT IS THE STATE OF CONSUMERS LIVING IN CITIES?

There is no system in marketing that favors the producer. Just as villagers cannot earn money, consumers living in cities cannot access affordable food either. This is because neither the villagers nor the consumers have economic organizations. Yet, in the Union of Opportunists (EU), which capitalists specifically aim to join, it is not mentioned that producers have sovereignty in agriculture from production to marketing.

PEOPLE CAN NO LONGER TAKE THEIR SICK TO HOSPITALS OR DOCTORS

Both impoverished villagers and city dwellers can no longer take their sick to hospitals or doctors. This issue has been delegated to organizations established by sheikhs and religious leaders, who are accepted as democratic civil society organizations. Getting an appointment at hospitals takes months or years. People complain to newspapers, saying, "We cannot reach hospitals due to poverty."

LIKE VILLAGERS, CITY DWELLERS CANNOT EAT NUTRITIOUSLY

In our cities, the vast majority of our people cannot access red meat and milk due to excessive price hikes. They line up in the dark of the morning to buy meat at cheaper prices. Never mind meat and milk; there are long queues even for bread. There are those who collect leftovers from the market. Obesity has begun among people who cannot eat nutritiously.

THE EDUCATED YOUNG GENERATION DOES NOT WANT TO STAY IN THE COUNTRY

There is no existential threat arising from the educated young generation leaving the country; some attribute this departure to the lack of democracy in that country.

Dear readers, look at what the hypocrites and dissidents say and write.

You feel distressed, don't you? Yet, everything is rosy. The hypocrites and dissidents have no shame. Let us wish, "May God reform them"(!)
