Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, at his party's parliamentary group meetingyesterday, was once again in full force.
"They shouldn't provoke us. They shouldn't test our patience," he challenged; but it was unclear who he was challenging.
To the MHP,, He claimed that a conspiracy was being plotted against the AKP,the People's Alliance, and ultimately against Turkey, but he did not disclose who the conspirators were.
He didn't stop there; he also threatened journalists:
“Locking them all up is a matter of existence and honor for the rule of law. The time for these co-opted, so-called journalists to pay the price is near and inevitable!”
As you might guess, he gave no clues as to who these journalists to be locked up were, or who exactly would be imprisoned.
In other words... He accused and threatened many people on many issues, but never named anyone.
Except for one person!
*
Heopenly criticized, exposed and threatened him.
The winner of this year's Eurovision Song Contest, Nemo from Switzerland...
What didn't they say about them?
"The emergence of a third gender between men and women has become a cautionary tale. The fact that the male artist who came in first appeared in the competition wearing a feathered jacket and a pink satin skirt is confirmation of a shameful degeneration. If this is what they call modernity, then we say, down with such a mindset..."
*
"Well, what is it to you?" wouldn't one ask that person?
Indeed, isn't everyone responsible for themselves?
Turkey'shave the lesbians, gays, homosexuals, and bisexuals in the country been dealt with, and now it's the turn of God's Swiss person ?
Why are you bothering with the man, the woman, or the "third gender"?
If you don't like it, you just press the button on the TV remote and stop watching, that's all.
Just because you didn't like it, does that mean no one else will?
Look; they even voted the guy into first place just to spite you!
It means that, unlike you, they didn't care about the feathered jacket or the pink satin skirt; they looked at his voice, they looked at his song!
But your mind and thoughts are…
Good heavens…
*
And let's say the man is, as you claim, “the third kind!”
But he isn't playing with the future of his country and nation just to hide that...
He doesn't bow down to threats or blackmail
to cover up his misdeeds either!
He bravely comes out and declares his homosexuality.
“What is it to you, it’s my property” he says.
He doesn't make a fool of himself just so his secretly recorded videos aren't exposed.
What does he do?
“I am gay. And I am proud of it” as if to say, he wears a “pink satin skirt” and such.
His private life concerns only himself, not an entire country!
He does not become the protagonist of stories whispered behind closed doors; he makes no one pay a price, and he surrenders to no one!
*
Do not misunderstand me:
I am not praising homosexuality or anything of the sort!
I am not even interested, nor am I judging...
Because I am able to ignore things that do not align with my personal morality.
In slang terms, it doesn't affect me in any way; why should I act as the guardian of other people's virtue?
In my opinion, Mr. Bahçeli should also behave like me...
Instead of obsessing over a stranger's private affairs, he should focus on the issues in this country those who cannot control their bodily functions, and therefore those who bow to threats and blackmail involving tapes, should be dealt with...
*
I am sure he will say a ton of things about me now, "They shouldn't provoke us. They shouldn't test our patience" and threaten me or something...
He will add me to the"list of so-called journalists to be locked up"!
Honestly, I couldn't care less!
You know, since he talks about "modernity"...
It is enough for everyone to just sweep in front of their own door!
True modernity is not about acting as the world's moral guardian, but about managing to pass through life without harming any living creature.
It is not about bowing to threats and blackmail, turning a deaf ear to gossip, and spewing filth around like a machine gun...
