The counter-revolutionaries are at work!

With hours left until October 29, 2023, when we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic, the "enemies of the Republic" have begun to show their discomfort.

The first move came from TRT. The institution's administrators postponed the holiday celebrations as they saw fit.

The justification was the Israeli attacks on Gaza.

This was followed by "postponement" news from Turkey's Embassy in Qatar and from all corners of the country.

The Qatari Embassy in Doha postponed the events scheduled for October 27-29 to November 23-24, citing the events in Palestine. While announcing the postponement decision, they used the term "Republic commemoration" instead of "celebration"...

Thus, they made it clear that they view the Republic as a "loss" rather than an "achievement."

Interestingly, it turned out that Turkey's Ambassador to Qatar, Mustafa Göksu, who was able to make such a decision on his own, had attended the wedding of Khalid bin Mohammed Al Thani just one day before announcing this decision.

In fact, photos of this wedding were even published on the official account of the Qatari Embassy.

While no other embassy of ours took such a decision, for some reason, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs remained silent in the face of this overstepping attitude by the Ambassador to Qatar.

Furthermore...

A giant Palestinian flag was hung on the historic Gaziantep Castle, which was damaged in the earthquake, in a manner contrary to the circular regarding the hanging of foreign flags.

When some circles claimed that this was done to cast a shadow over the Republic Day celebrations, AKP Gaziantep Deputy Ali Şahin made a statement and, referring to the Republic, spoke of a "100-year coma"...

You may remember that in previous years, AKP Balıkesir Deputy Tülay Babuşçu had also committed a great disrespect by saying that the Republic was "a commercial break in a 600-year empire"...

Do you know what happened next?

The people of Balıkesir punished Ms. Tülay severely. Tülay Babuşçu lost all her customers; she was forced to close the pharmacy and jewelry store she owned.

The proclamation of the Republic is a revolution.

An era has closed, and a new era has begun.

The Republic is a revolution; because:

The Republic of Turkey was established in place of the Ottoman Empire.

The sultanate system, which passed from father to son, ended.

The Caliphate became a thing of the past.

Ankara became the capital of the new state.

A secular state structure was adopted instead of Sharia, and human-made law was introduced.

The concept of "nation" replaced the concept of "ummah," and the concept of "citizen" replaced the concept of "subject."

Laws were enacted regarding clothing, the alphabet, the unification of education, the changing of the calendar, clock, and measurement systems, and the abolition of titles such as "bey" and "pasha."

Religious orders, dervish lodges, and shrines were closed.

Civil Law was introduced in place of the Mecelle, or "Islamic Private Law."

Instead of the implementation of Sharia punishments, the Turkish Penal Code was enacted.

Women were granted the same rights as men. Turkish women were among the first in the world to achieve the right to vote and be elected.

And so; all of this caused the emergence of the opponents of the Republic, that is, the "counter-revolutionaries," even before the Republic was proclaimed.

These reactionaries and remnants of the Ottoman Empire took action to destroy the revolutions I listed above. They spared no effort to tear down and destroy this newly established state with all its new institutions and rules.

And unfortunately; these counter-revolutionaries, who have not left power since we transitioned to a multi-party system by exploiting our people's sensitivity to "religion," think that they have reached the end of the road as of today.

That is; the reason for these instances of rudeness we have witnessed in recent days is just that...

However... Whatever they may think; the patriotic revolutionaries of this country are ready to give their lives to protect the gains of the Republic!

And the millions who have been decorating their homes, workplaces, streets, and squares with Turkish flags since the beginning of the week...
