A fake march!

I don't know how many of you have heard; the Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (DİSK) has started a march from Istanbul to Ankara with the slogan "Justice in Taxes, Justice in Income."

So, who are the ones marching (!)?

DİSK President Arzu Çerkezoğlu and the presidents and executives of some unions affiliated with DİSK.

They aren't even walking for such a noble cause; they are just "pretending"; that's why their numbers don't exceed 15-20!

And everywhere they go, they are met by another 15-20 people.

Don't let the word "march" fool you; this is not a march like Kılıçdaroğlu's famous "March for Justice"...

It's a "pretend" march!

If you engage in "pretend" organizing, your action will also be "pretend."

You don't bother to walk, you just pretend to be "walking"...

Just like you've been acting as if you were an "organization" for years while actually doing nothing...

Just like you played the "silent observer" while the President of this country boasted, "We haven't allowed strikes for years!"

In the morning, they are in Yalova... If they were to walk, they could walk at most 40 kilometers... But for some reason, they cover 110 kilometers and arrive in Bursa before the evening!

Come on; a person would at least take a break in Orhangazi.

Rest their feet.

Eat some meatballs and piyaz; drink a nice, frothy ayran!

Watch the sunset in Gemlik...

The next morning, they set off from Bursa, arrive in Bilecik before noon, and in Eskişehir by evening.

If all goes well, by the time you read this article, they will have started walking from Eskişehir and will arrive in Ankara before the evening!

Are you a high-speed train or what?

What is this speed?

What is this rush?

Do you have other things to do, which is why you aren't "really" walking but just pretending to "walk"?

Why aren't you taking real action?

Why aren't you shaking the earth and sky?

For example, why aren't you setting off from Istanbul with at least 20-30 thousand people?

Why aren't you ensuring that at least 20 thousand more people join the cortege in Kocaeli and Bursa, the homelands of the working class?

If you were really walking to Ankara, you could complete this on the current route in at least 25 days...

And you, hop, a world tour in four days!

Seriously; why the rush?

What is the reason for your phoniness?

Or is the Congress approaching and you are just creating an "activity report" to say "We worked hard"?

By the time you read this article, they will have already left Eskişehir and perhaps even arrived in Ankara.

Because they are going to hold a press conference in Ulus, Ankara, at 14:00!

Come on; a person can't even chant slogans in such a short time.

The distance between Eskişehir and Ankara is over 200 kilometers...

Instead of flying like a bird, go slowly!

Let out your smoke like a steam train; at least let the people see that you are coming!

Notice the poor and needy on the road...

If you aren't even going to do that, if you aren't going to hold people's hands and listen to their troubles, if you aren't going to chat with the workers...

Why are you deceiving us by saying "I am walking"?

If you aren't going to explain your grievances, if you aren't going to listen to grievances... If you are going to pass by with a "vroom" as if you are conducting a motorized unit operation; then what is the need for all this fuss?

Kılıçdaroğlu walked from Ankara to Istanbul. His feet blistered! We applauded... He said "Justice," he said "Rights, Law"... We heard it!

Erkan Baş walked from Hatay to Ankara; he said "Freedom for Can Atalay"... We appreciated it!

But they really walked.

So what are these people doing?

Putting on a show!

Well; DİSK, the most radical of labor organizations, is putting on a show, but what are Türk-İş and Hak-İş doing?

They aren't even "pretending"!

They are fast asleep...

They are enjoying themselves in luxury buildings and cars with the dues deducted from the salaries of the workers who are members of them!

Now I will tell you about the latest statistics from the Ministry of Labor:

In 2002, when the AKP came to power, 58 out of every 100 unionized workers in Turkey were unionized.

Today, this rate has fallen to 15 percent.
