Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy has brought good news to retirees trying to make ends meet on 12 thousand liras a month:
“In our public beaches, where we already provide free entry, our sunbed and umbrella services will now also be free.”
There it is; this is exactly the good news I was expecting as a retired citizen…
But it is not enough!
Fine, we saved the summer months with this great service; what will we do in the winter?
We are also expecting support from our esteemed minister for winter tourism.
For example, ski lessons should be free for retirees.
Retirees going to Switzerland to ski should not be charged the foreign departure fee.
I am glad to be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.

Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Fatih Altaylı have clashed…
Why?
Because Fatih Altaylı called Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu “a man of the AKP and an agent of foreign states”…
Kılıçdaroğlu let loose:
“Donkeys might become men, but you will never become a man.”
“A disgrace who runs to every FETÖ organization and fawns over them...”
“A sell-out employee of bosses who cursed at Ciner while working for the Doğan Group, and then moved there when Ciner paid more!”
“A woman-hater, treacherous, a slave to money, dishonorable and base!”
What a polite debate this is; what mature people they are!
In which country in the world is there such a refined politician-journalist relationship?
Which country's democracy is this developed?
I am glad to be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey!

Our Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) also knows no bounds in service.
This institution, which contributes to our country's reputation and image with meetings in five-star hotels, Hajj visits with spouses, luxury vehicles, and banquets, has printed 3 million 115 thousand calendars for the year 2025.
It paid 61 million 677 thousand liras for this…
One of the messages given in the calendar is that “Hunger and poverty are a test.”
What a beautiful piece of advice, but…
Don't you dare be malicious and say, “They never go hungry and take that test themselves, though…”
If they go hungry, if they lose their health, in other words, if they take the exams we take, who will warn us!
I am glad to be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey!

The Istanbul Planning Agency, affiliated with the IMM (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality), announced in its latest research that the number of our citizens taking the hunger and poverty test mentioned by Diyanet is increasing rapidly.
The research they conducted revealed that 41.1 percent of those living in Istanbul cannot access sufficient food. According to the same research, our citizens have started to shrink their portions…
You ungrateful people who say, “The government is doing nothing, we are dying of hunger”; our administrators are both looking out for our health and putting us to the test. What more do you want?
I am glad to be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey!

It has been revealed that the Presidency of Strategy and Budget sent 45 million liras each to AKP-run municipalities in Istanbul before the local elections…
And what if they had sent it to CHP-run municipalities; wouldn't the expenses have doubled?
I am glad to be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey!

SONAR has conducted a new survey and determined that 41 percent of our people are still happy that President Erdoğan is in office.
ORC Research, known for its closeness to the palace, also conducted a “Should there be an early election?” survey across the country. According to this, the rate of those wanting an early election was only 47 percent. In other words, almost half of our people are satisfied with the current situation…
I am glad to be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey!

Yes; as a journalist-writer, I am glad to be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.
While German, British, and French journalists struggle to write one article a week; how fortunate I am that I certainly do not suffer from a lack of topics.
A journalist writes about problems, writes about troubles, writes about filth, writes about corruption, betrayal, delusion, and negligence.
Look at how much material this country gives me in a single day!
That is why…
I am glad to live in such a country…
I am glad to be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey!
