How many people kiss you a day, Ayparçası?

President Erdoğan spoke yesterday at a rally organized by his party in İzmir.

Since the location was İzmir, what he said were the same words he lists before every election.

Democracy...

Freedom...

Equality...

Peace...

Justice...

In other words; honey and cream until you are elected, and a mixture of tar after you are elected!

Since the venue was İzmir, he tried to highlight his libertarian side even more.

 He said things like, "We have no problem with anyone's lifestyle."

Decide for yourself how true these words are by taking stock of the last 21 and a half years.

I am not going to stand up and say, "They did this, they didn't do that, they threw acid at girls wearing skirts, they pressured women by saying, 'She is walking on the street while pregnant'."

I will also not mention that they labeled everyone who exercised their right to freedom of expression, especially during Gezi, as "looters" or "anarchists."

I won't even remind you that they said, "These people are staying together, boys and girls."

I will only relay the words that Mahmut Ayparçası, the AKP Mayor and candidate for the Çamaş district of Ordu, said just a day ago to CHP candidate Leyla Çıtır:

“For thirty-one years, she has been wandering around like a decorative gourd... There is nothing else. There is one thing she knows very well, and that is gossiping. My dear, pull yourself together a little... After all, this is an election, what is going on? You are hugging everyone you see. Is this in our faith? Is this in our morality? You have set a very bad example for Çamaş. Pull yourself together a little!”

Do you know where Ayparçası said these words?

At a breakfast organized by a Women's Cooperative...

And on International Women's Day, no less.

And no one stood up and said, “What are you doing, Mr. Mayor? Truly, this is just an election. Does it suit you to cast aspersions on a woman's honor?” he didn't say!

One should feel at least a little bit of shame or embarrassment!

Fine, the level of politics in our country is dragging on the ground, but at the very least, you shouldn't have let it fall into the sewer, you piece of the moon!

Never mind whether a mayor would say this to another candidate or not...

Does a man say such a thing to a woman?

What do you mean, "You hug everyone you come across?"

How do you dare to put a person's honor, reputation, and morality on the scales and turn it into "election material" by constructing such a sentence?

Do you really have to attach a sexual meaning to a human handshake or a hug?

If you are absolutely going to judge two people hugging each other from a 'moral' standpoint...

During this pre-election period, how many men on average do you hug and embrace each day?

How many bearded men's cheeks do you kiss?

How many people's hands do you take into your own to have long conversations with?

If you are absolutely going to attach a meaning to two people hugging...

How do you view two men embracing...

Hugging and kissing?

Do you find this very normal?

You are afraid of "sexuality," but are you not afraid of "homosexuality"?

Erdoğan said yesterday, "We have no issue with anyone's lifestyle..."

Whereas Ayparçası had said the day before, "You are hugging everyone you see. Is this in our faith? Is this in our morality? You have set a very bad example for Çamaş. Pull yourself together!"

If both of them are members of the same party...

One of them is not expressing their true belief and opinion.
