If Ayşe is dear, what is Sevgi's crime? Why is she alone?

Like all of you, I am following the news regarding the murder of former Ülkü Ocakları President Sinan Ateş without taking a breath.

I am etching into my brain the words poured out by the dear Müyesser Yıldız, who reports on these types of trials to us without eating or drinking.

It is clear that Sinan Ateş took a stand against certain dirty dealings within the MHP and paid the price for it…

The problem is: Who made him pay?

The head?

Or the foot?

If it is the foot… Why is the head protecting it?

I hope that as a result of the trial, not only the hitman or his accomplices, but also those who gave the order and made the plans will be sentenced to the punishment they deserve.

Müyesser describes these hearings in such detail that it would not be right for me to pass judgment.

In any case, from the first day the trial began, I have not been concerned with those being tried, the accused, the fearful, or those running away.

They are already in the public eye…

The question that is stuck in my mind is something else entirely…

As you know, Sinan Ateş's wife, Ayşe Ateş, has been working tooth and nail to ensure that her husband's blood is not left on the ground and that the killers are held accountable.

While doing this, she is receiving the greatest support from politicians.

Except for MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and the DEM Party, she has met with the leaders of almost all political parties.

President Erdoğan is also among these names…

The leaders of those parties also gave great support to Mrs. Ayşe and began rushing to attend the hearings.

First and foremost, former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and the current Chairman Özgür Özel…

They all stand by Mrs. Ayşe with such great determination and respond to the provocations coming from the defendants on trial with such composure that it is impossible not to appreciate it…

So; what is the question stuck in my mind?

Why did Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and other political leaders, who support Ayşe Ateş so wholeheartedly, attend the hearings, and brave the threats of the defendants, never once show their faces in the courtrooms of conspiracy trials like Ergenekon, Balyoz, Odatv, Military Espionage, and Match-Fixing?

Why did their consciences, which were activated for Sinan Ateş, who had served as the President of the Ülkü Ocakları, play "blind, deaf, and dumb" while this country's heroic officers, enlightened faculty members, valuable journalists, and legal experts were being tried?

You will say; “But Sinan Ateş was murdered. He fell victim to a political assassination!”

Well, wasn't it murder to include Türkan Saylan, who had cancer, in the Ergenekon Conspiracy at the most advanced stage of her illness and cause her to die of grief?

Didn't they declare Kuddusi Okkır, who was later understood not to have a penny in his pocket, the treasurer of Ergenekon and cause his death?

Didn't they treacherously accuse Cem Aziz Çakmak, one of the brightest commanders of the future of the Turkish navy, and cause him to get cancer?

Wasn't the death of Muzaffer Tekin, who did not compromise his dignified stance for a single second throughout the trials, also a murder?

Ali Tatar, for example? 

While he was committing suicide to prevent a stain on his own honor and that of the Turkish Army, didn't the hands that pulled the trigger belong to those who ordered these cases to be opened and those who opened them?

For God's sake, which one should I count?

Kaşif Kozinoğlu, Ali Tarık Akça, Nazlıgül Daştanoğlu, Murat Özenalp, or Özden Örnek?

In the courtrooms, next to whose wife did Mr. Kemal sit?

Whose children did he console?

Did he listen even once to Sabriye Okkır, who risked her own life to explain that her husband was a victim of a conspiracy?

Did he hand a handkerchief to Sevgi Çakmak, who could not hold back her tears, and console her?

Did he share in Sema Özenalp's pain?

Unfortunately, no!

He did not show the same interest he showed to Ayşe Ateş to any of the relatives of the heroes who were victims of the conspiracies…

He did not go to the hearings in Silivri, Istanbul, Ankara, or İzmir!

Well; did he go to their funerals?

Did he pay condolence visits?

No!

I am setting Özgür Özel aside; because when he was the CHP Group Deputy Chairman, I saw him many times at the hearings of both the Ergenekon and Balyoz conspiracy trials…

Furthermore, he visited those being tried in these cases in prison many times, taking his fellow CHP deputies with him.

But Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu did none of these things!

In other words, he did not stand up for the Kemalist officers, rectors, revolutionary journalists, legal experts, or academics.

July 3rd was the ninth anniversary of the death of Rear Admiral Cem Aziz Çakmak, the "North Star of the Navy," my brother by heart, if not by blood.

Mr. Kemal, who became a "grandfather" to the children of the nationalist Sinan Ateş, again did not remember Cem's beloved wife, Sevgi Özen Çakmak, and their children.

You are a political coward, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu…

Just so your own name wouldn't be tarnished, you didn't stand by thousands of innocent people, you didn't support their relatives, and you remained a spectator to the injustices they suffered!

The only reason you are going after the Sinan Ateş murder today is that there is no risk to you…

That is why you left the Atatürk revolutionaries in prisons…

And their relatives alone in their homes and on the streets!

Now you have stood up and are trying to gain political profit by acting as if you are providing desperate support to a nationalist and his family…

Struggle all you want, you are finished, Mr. Kemal…

You are beyond redemption now!
