Yesterday, a new "taxi driver saying" was added, but it can't be said to be very clever:

"Set your taximeters, Murat Kurum is coming!"

The genius friend who said this is Eyüp Aksu, President of the Istanbul Taxi Drivers Tradesmen Chamber...

In other words, the license plate boss who has made life a dungeon for Istanbulites for years!

Yesterday, he attended the Taxi Drivers Meeting organized by the AKP in Üsküdar and openly gave his support to AKP Candidate Murat Kurum.

Back then, Istanbul's population was 6.5 million, today it is 17 million!

Most of the taxi plates are in the hands of the "gallery owners" in Bağcılar, known as "plate bosses."

If you were to try to buy a taxi plate and do this profession, as of today, you would have to pay at least 6.5-7 million liras.

When the plates become this valuable, the "plate bosses" who hold them naturally prevent new taxis from providing service.

They do this thanks to the AKP governments that have protected them for years and have always been at the service of "every kind of boss."

That is why they don't like or want Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Because he has been trying to dismantle this boss system for years.

That is why they are hopeful about Murat Kurum, who has made life miserable for the middle class with his mass housing projects.
