Upon reading this notice, I thought to myself, “Is a new Parliament being established?”

According to official data, the number of people working at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye is 5 thousand 012

That means there are on average ten people per deputy.

But this army of servants must not have been enough for our friends, as the “constitution-piercing” Speaker of the Parliament is in pursuit of reinforcements!

***

What are all these people doing?

They don't let our esteemed deputies lift a finger.

Take another look at the list of personnel to be hired…

They are hiring a kebab chef, a kebab chef.

For those tired of kebabs, a döner chef.

Cleaning staff to clean the places they dirty…

A car washer for their cars.

And a lifeguard so they don't drown in the sea!

***

The nation is hungry; the deputy is in pursuit of luxury.

The nation has forgotten meat; these people are hiring permanent staff just to eat kebabs…

The nation's children are in filth at schools, while these people have private nannies looking after their children.

I wish him a speedy recovery; a song by the folk artist Ankaralı Turgut came to my mind… Those who are curious can find it on the internet and listen to it. The lyrics are exactly as follows:

“What will become of the tradesman,

who will be held to account?

What will become of the farmer,

who will be held to account?

There are no pots or pans left,

who will look after this nation?

Yogurt, milk, and ayran for us,

honey and clotted cream for you, my deputy.

You worked so hard, my president,

fresh clotted cream for you.

You need to take it, you need to eat it,

then you need to see the difference.

From Afyon for my deputy,

fresh clotted cream is needed.

Clotted cream is needed, clotted cream is needed,

my deputy needs clotted cream.

The luxurious life for you, my deputy,

struggling and dying for us.

Dry bread and onions for us,

honey and banana-flavored clotted cream for you.

You need to take it, you need to eat it,

then you need to see the difference.

From Afyon for my deputy,

fresh clotted cream is needed!”

In a period where those who cannot govern the state even set their sights on the credit cards in the nation's pockets…

This indulgence, this ostentation, this fanfare for the esteemed members of a Parliament that has been rendered dysfunctional and sidelined…

What can I say; may it be poison and bile; everything they consume without having earned it!
