I was going to make disgusting slanderous claims about you on social media.

I was going to forge a promissory note in your name, try to collect on it, and leave you in a difficult situation.

I was going to call your workplace without giving my name, claim you were asking me for a bribe, and get you fired.

I was going to scratch the bodywork of your car.

But I gave up…

Aren't I such a good person?”

No, I am not talking nonsense.

They are not increasing the minimum wage, they are not giving a raise to retirees…

In other words, they are not giving any real good news…

This is the kind of “good news” that now comes to us from the Escape Palace!

First, they put a bunch of ruthless rumors in front of us, and then they want us to be grateful that they withdrew half of them and kept the other half!

They expect us to accept malaria after showing us death…

You must have read the news on 12punto.com.tr:

The new tax package prepared by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance will be submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey this week.

All sorts of claims have been circulating for a week:

* A wealth tax will be levied on the unexplained difference between income and expenditures.

* Taxes will be levied on gains obtained from the buying and selling of stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul…

* A 10 percent VAT will be levied on feed sales, and a 20 percent VAT on fertilizer sales.

* The VAT exemption applied to those engaged in R&D, innovation, and design activities that are not within the scope of an investment incentive certificate will be abolished.

* Taxes on real estate sales will be levied based on the actual value.

* Tenants will deposit their rent into the bank every month. The bank will deduct 20 percent of the rent money deposited into the account as tax and send it to the Treasury, leaving the remainder in the landlord's account.

* Those with more than one house will be taxed extra.

* The VAT exemption on books will be abolished.

* 850 thousand tradespeople operating in professional groups such as taxi drivers, barbers, carpenters, plumbers, haberdashers, and tailors will be removed from the simple-method tax exemption… They will all pay taxes based on their actual income.

The state will thus collect hundreds of billions of liras in extra taxes…

These reports were whispered into the ears of eager reporters (!) by those who manage the economy themselves.

All of these friends sat down at their computers saying, “according to information we received from reliable sources,” and wrote down the new tax regulations one by one.

Since the markets were closed due to the holiday, these reports had no reflection on the stock market, gold, or foreign currency anyway…

Then yesterday…

That is, just one day before the markets opened, the “good news” arrived.

Our everything, our one and only sultan, had come to his senses and vetoed all of these regulations in the new tax law draft…

You read that right…

This word is used in the news:

Veto!

Yet the Constitution and the laws are clear…

The President can only use his veto power after a bill has been passed by Parliament.

But journalism has turned into such an institution of servants that no journalist questioned this.

They wrote the sentence exactly as it was dictated to them:

“The President vetoed it!”

Oh you ignorant, heedless, oblivious people and wretches who call yourselves journalists!

What is being fed to you as “the President vetoed it” is not a “veto,” it is a deception.

The government aimed for two things by presenting regulations it would never dare to implement as if it were going to, and then giving up:

First, as I said above, to make people accept malaria after showing them death!

Second, to make President Erdoğan a hero! To make you say, “Look, they were going to rob us badly, but our President prevented it. He saved us from hundreds of billions in extra taxes. It's a good thing he exists.”

Instead of losing votes after a tax regulation, they are turning it into a gain…

In other words; playing with perceptions and messing with our settings!

You be careful; do not be fooled by fake good news!

Do not fall for the game.

Focus not on the items that are “not included” in the bill to be submitted to Parliament this week, but on those that are!

Everything else is a lie, those are the truth!
