Supreme Court elections, a tram, and a plane!

“Democracy is a tram. We ride it until we reach our destination, then we get off. Democracy is not an end, but a means to reach a goal…” 

Today'sAKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke these words, which we all know by heart, in 1996, that is, during his time as the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality .

In those days, his advisors were not writing the gentleman's speeches; everything he said was a product of his own mind.

Then January 22, 2013, at the Organization of Islamic Cooperationmeeting, he spoke as follows:

“Well, what kind of democracy? Whether this democracy will be an end or a means, that is exactly what should be opened for discussion.

In our view, democracy can never be an end in itself. I believe that the 21st century will be the century in which Islamic civilization takes the lead.”

The person who uttered these words is today both the AKP Chairmanand the President…

All the strings are in his hands…

The Executive, meaning the cabinet is already at his command...

He runs it however he pleases.

He cancels the decree he signed last night this morning; and not a singlesoul dares to ask, "Hey brother, what are you doing? These things are not toys." cannot say it.

Ministers, deputy ministers, general managers, chairmen, advisors; they are all pawns!

He says "Do" and they do it; he says "Lie down" and they lie down...

The Republic'sshut down all of the country's important institutions; neither the State Planning Organization remains, nor the State Institute of Statistics...

Atatürk and his colleagues sold off or destroyed everything they built.

The old Treasury undersecretaries were replaced by "staff" who tremble with fear.stafftook their place.

The independence of the Central Bankis now a big lie... 

Education and health policies are now just puzzle games...

The General Staff is at attention...

Governors are on standby...

Muftis are officials for instrumentalizing religion in politics...

The state has neither military nor police left...

The fourth estate, the media; rest in peace!

They are such fierce "bodyguards" that they even cause the death of an opposition member of parliament.

Judiciary if you ask... 

It has turned into a"judiciary of its owner."

AKP provincial and district chairs were made judges and prosecutors overnight.

Decisions are not made in the conscience, but in the palace.

Who is guilty and who is not is decided by the gentleman and his advisors.

The Minister of Justice merely “a fixer…”

Whose only duty is to ensure that court rulings the Presidentare issued as he desires…

The high judiciary is in a pathetic state!

All key decision-making bodies, “those appointed by the gentleman”filled with.

Distinguished judges and prosecutors have fallen into the pursuit of handouts...

No; I said too little...

How did this happen?

In the Supreme Court presidential election, a full 35 who was a candidate for the third round Head of the 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals, Muhsin Şentürk suddenly 

withdrew his candidacy...

So why did he withdraw?

Because someone told him to run for the position of Chief Public Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeals.

The Supreme Court General Assembly will determine five “chief prosecutor” candidates today… One of them will be President Erdoğan appointed as the Supreme Court Chief Public Prosecutor will be appointed as.

And if this name turns out to be Muhsin Şentürk , who withdrew his candidacy for president; we will be very surprised and say things like “democracy has won” and so on...

Yes; Recep Tayyip Erdoğan did what he said 28 years ago: He used democracy as a tram. 

He rode it as far as he needed to go; then, so that others wouldn't use the same tram, he "torchedit." 

He destroyed all the institutions, boards, and rules of democracy. 

Now, a as the chairman of a political party he even determines the number one and number two of the judiciary himself...

And we still think this circus is democracy and continue to trust the Parliament,the judiciary, the ministers, and so on, and continue to expect them to do their jobs...

I am definitely not hopeless:

We will certainly recover from this abyss, but those who have made their professional honor a subject of negotiation for a seat today will, one way or another, pay the price for this.

If they do not believe me, they should print this article out and hang it on the wall in front of their desks.

Let them not forget; democracy is not a tram, but an airplane where everyone is a passenger...

If it crashes, no one survives!
