The absurdities of a charlatan that turn people away from religion!

The man is (I can hardly bring myself to say it, but...) 59 years old!

Influenced by the İsmailağa Community in the Çarşamba neighborhood of Fatih, where he was born, raised, and still lives, he began walking around in a "robe" (cübbe) at the age of 6 or 7.

His nickname since those days has been "Cübbeli" (The Robed One)...

He was trained specifically (!) by Sheikh Mahmut Ustaosmanoğlu of the Naqshbandi Order.

He received religious education at the İsmailağa Mosque until the age of 11.

He went on Hajj for the first time in 1983, at the age of 17.

He did not perform military service on the grounds that he was diabetic.

In 1990, he founded the Fatih Hak ve Hizmet Foundation.

This foundation, which received great support from right-wing governments, seized 20 decares of forest land in the Beykoz district of Istanbul and built a "külliye" (complex) illegally.

When this complex faced a major public backlash, it was seized and transferred to the Treasury.

His officially married wife is Mine Hanım...

He also has an "imam-married" wife... Büşra Mihrimah Hanım.

Even though those who dislike him curse him, saying "May his lineage be wiped out," he has eight children in total.

All of them are in the service of the sect!

He drew attention with his absurd sermons and luxurious private life.

He achieved his real fame on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, when he made the "front page" of Hürriyet Newspaper... This friend, who forbids all kinds of worldly pleasures to his community, was caught on camera riding a jet-ski.

And in Malta, no less...

He has always had one foot abroad; there is no place in the world or in Turkey that he hasn't visited under the guise of "religious conversation invitations." Although he advises his community to stay away from worldly pleasures, he has always lived those pleasures to the fullest.

He even rode a hot air balloon in Cappadocia with tourists he called "naked."

He has given thousands of sermons contrary to secularism; however, due to his closeness to the governments, either no investigation was opened against him, or he found a way to escape the investigations that were opened.

He first got into serious trouble due to his speech about the August 17 earthquake in 1999. Regarding the 7.4 magnitude earthquake, he said, "My Lord struck the dens of adultery." Following intense reactions from grieving people, he was tried and sentenced to two years, seven months, and three days in prison for the crime of "publicly inciting hatred by discriminating based on religion, sect, and belief differences." He served 13 months in prison.

The speed at which he climbed the ladder of fame increased significantly with his frequent appearances on Fatih Altaylı's program.

The supposedly "Atatürkist and pro-secular" Fatih Altaylı was extremely pleased with the ratings brought by this man's religious shows.

That was until his name was involved in the Karagümrük Gang Operation on October 2, 2011.

He was arrested on charges of human trafficking for prostitution, threats, blackmail, and establishing relations with the mafia.

Video recordings of him committing adultery were leaked.

After staying in prison for over a year, he wrote a letter to the President containing the message, "Let me go, I will be at your service, I will do whatever you want." As a coincidence, he was released to be tried without arrest at the first hearing after this letter.

After his release, as he promised, he campaigned for "Erdoğan" in every election; he accused those who did not vote for him of being sinners.

Even though he is such an enemy of television that he says, "Watching television on New Year's Eve is a greater sin than drinking alcohol, gambling, or committing adultery," he sold "shrouds that do not burn in hell" and "slippers that show Prophet Muhammad in dreams" through Lalegül TV, which he founded on behalf of his community; he added millions to his millions of liras.

There is no subject he hasn't interfered with or issued a fatwa on.

In his book titled Healing Verses, he even recommended a "prayer to be recited for a man's sexual organ." A lawsuit was filed against him for this, with a demand for a prison sentence of six months to one year. The court decided on his acquittal, stating that the act was not a crime under the law.

The Presidency of Religious Affairs, however, remained silent even in the face of this obscenity.

On September 10, 2022, he tried to openly incite his community to "massacre" by saying, "There are many enemies of religion and the state, a total cleansing might be necessary."

Thank God, no one took him seriously.

Unfortunately, neither did the prosecutors...

Not even an investigation was opened against him.

I suppose you have understood who I am talking about... I am talking about the cultist Preacher Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü, known by the name Cübbeli Ahmet.

This religious showman, who was expelled from his sect after his sheikh died, has now stepped in to convince people who complain about high prices and did not vote for the AKP in the last elections...

He said, "Alcohol is expensive, gambling is expensive, adultery is expensive. I guess they are getting price hikes too... I don't know, I have no news about the prices of prostitutes... But if everything is getting a price hike, your risk of getting involved in that sin is decreasing"...

As if people aren't playing "scratch-off" games with their last 100 liras in the hope of becoming rich.

As if tens of thousands of women aren't being dragged into prostitution just to feed or educate their children.

As if fake rakı isn't being made from pure alcohol in millions of homes!

Shut your mouth already, you curse of God...

Because of charlatans like you, people have turned away from religion and faith!

If you have any fear of God, leave the believers alone...

Just leave them... And don't lead us into more sin!
