The political junkyard and 'junk' politicians!

Don't leave your news choices to an algorithm - decide for yourself what you read. Add 12punto to your preferred sources!

Politics in our country is like a mill... Politicians cannot produce politics. In other words, they cannot find solutions to any of the people's problems.

Education, health, economy, security, foreign relations, judiciary, media, democracy, rights and freedoms... All of them are a tangled mess of problems!

The only thing produced in this mill is "talk..."

*

Don't just dismiss it as talk; every kind of it is produced here...

The most demagogic...

The harshest...

The most romantic...

The most provocative...

The most deceitful...

The most vulgar...

The most insulting!

Talk tailored to the person, that is...

Speeches about the homeland and the nation fly through the air for the nationalist segment; people's beliefs are targeted for the religious!

Some try to use Atatürk as material for themselves against their will, some the Prophet, some Abdülhamit...

*

But... No matter which view they defend, there is a common "language" that our politicians use:

Faced with any criticism or accusation directed at them, they all challenge back with the same clichéd words:

"Those who cannot prove it are base, dishonorable, cowardly, and ignoble..."

I would say "Be dignified so they call you a scholar"; though most are already "mollas" (scholars)!

Even being a scholar doesn't stop them from foul-mouthing!

*

As I said, only talk is produced in the political mill; and all of it is "empty talk!"

Just chatter, that is...

So, what remains?

Political dregs!

Now I will list some names for you; let's see how many of you remember who these friends are:

Hasan Saka, Şemsettin Günaltay, Suat Hayri Ürgüplü, Nihat Erim, Ferit Melen, Naim Talu, Sadi Irmak, Bülent Ulusu, Yıldırım Akbulut...

Go out to the street and list these names one by one; see for yourself how many of our people recognize them.

Almost everyone under the age of 40, none of them!

Of course, except for those whose special interests are recent history or politics!

Let me also list the names that will be added to these in ten or fifteen years:

Mesut Yılmaz, Tansu Çiller, Ahmet Davutoğlu, Binali Yıldırım! Even... Abdullah Gül!

I'm not even counting the ministers, gentlemen or ladies, who couldn't fit in their seats during their terms and walked around with armies of bodyguards who wouldn't let anyone get close to them...

No one even knows the current ones, let alone the past ministers! And then there are the retired members of parliament, whose numbers exceed ten thousand! Each of them receives a retired MP salary of 92 thousand 997 liras!

As if they had done something, as if they had made a contribution to the country!

*

All of these esteemed individuals were politicians...

Today they are in the junkyard of political history...

Because the political mill ground them all up and nothing remained of them!

You might say that at least they built roads, hospitals, schools, and dams.

Well, they didn't build them out of their own pockets, did they...

To be permanent, not to be ground up in the political mill, one needed to produce work instead of empty talk.

To speak like the money-loving capitalists; at the very least, they needed to raise the per capita national income above 10 thousand dollars, ensure a fair distribution of income, and not shake the trust in the judiciary, the armed forces, and the army of education and health professionals.

In other words, they needed to solve the problems.

Most of them; created problems, or even became the problem!

*

Just look at the names that have gone to the political junkyard in this last year alone:

Sinan Oğan, Muharrem İnce, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Temel Karamollaoğlu, Ali Babacan...

And finally, Meral Akşener!

As if it weren't enough that they couldn't produce anything throughout their political lives; now they all continue to ruin our lives in one way or another.

They became junk, they even polluted the junkyard.

*

Why did I write such an article?

Because I read the latest statements of the "Blonde Asena", who didn't leave a single word unsaid about Recep Tayyip Erdoğan until she left politics, but who ran to Erdoğan's feet and grinned filthily just one month after leaving politics!

What is it, those who attach meanings to her meeting with Erdoğan are dishonorable, ignoble, and base...

*

Yeah, sure, whatever!

For God's sake, just go away...

You couldn't amount to anything, at least be quality junk!

At least have a chance at recycling!
