There is a fellow named Şekib Avdagiç. He is the President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO)…

As you can tell from his name, he is originally Bosnian. He was born in the city of Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1959.

His family first migrated to Germany, then to Turkey…

He graduated from Istanbul Technical University as a mechanical engineer.

In 1990, he was among the founders of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD), which was established by Islamist businessmen. He served as Vice Chairman until 2000.

At the İTO, he served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors between 2009 and 2013, and as Speaker of the Assembly between 2013 and 2018.

He has always had good relations with the AKP.

Thanks to these relations, he was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee at Turkish Airlines.

He still continues to hold these positions.

You know how everyone in the country has started complaining about immigrants, especially Syrians…

Except for this fellow!

At every opportunity he finds, he keeps saying, “Turkey cannot do without immigrants from now on.”

Why?

Because the more than 10 million immigrants and asylum seekers who have come to Turkey mean “cheap and undocumented labor” for the merchants and businessmen this fellow presides over.

Instead of paying the minimum wage to the millions of unemployed young people in our country, they employ asylum seekers like slaves for at most 10 thousand liras.

They have no records, no social security…

Is it the same for the unemployed in our country?

At the very least, you have to pay the minimum wage and put them on the payroll…

He wholeheartedly wants this order to continue.

To those who criticize him, he cites the “decline in our fertility rate” as a justification.

A huge lie…

Because more than 3 million of our people are still unemployed…

Since people from Niger, Chad, Somalia, Syria, and Afghanistan work for peanuts, our own people have no chance of finding work…

Afghans are harvesting hazelnuts and tea, Somalis are working in cotton fields, and Nigerians are sweating in construction sites.

It is hard to believe, but even municipalities are employing illegal workers through subcontractors!

These people, fleeing civil wars or poverty in their own countries, cannot say “No” to the inhumane conditions offered to them.

Everyone worships money.

No one cares about rights, law, or justice!

They do not recognize laws, they do not care about rules.
