As for the real purpose of this practice...

Who, or whom, do the economic policies imposed on us by Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, under the command of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, protect?

Do they protect the retirees, workers, civil servants, tradesmen, and farmers, or the bank owners who shovel in trillions while paying taxes the size of a pinhead?

Now... Please think:

When cash usage is banned, you will naturally turn to the cards in your pocket.

And banks will "snap" up commissions from both card and digital transactions.

Transaction volumes will double, and their profitability will triple or quadruple.

Well then; will the tradesmen and merchants—the greengrocer, the grocer, the butcher, the stationer, the clothing store owner—who will have to pay more commissions to banks due to the increase in card transactions, pay that commission out of their own pockets?

No...

They will reflect it in the prices!

Thus, this measure, which is supposedly taken to lower inflation, will backfire and lead to even higher inflation...
