Why weren't our flags lowered to half-mast this time?

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had declared a one-day national mourning after the leader of the religious Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, was killed by Israel.

A significant portion of the citizens had criticized this decision by Erdoğan, who had not declared national mourning even after so many tragedies.

One of them was 36-year-old Dilruba Kayserilioğlu, who said, "Why should I mourn just because some Arab was killed?"...

She was arrested and acquitted.

Then, a new lawsuit was filed against her on charges of insulting the President.

This time, Israel killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and many of the organization's leaders at their headquarters in Lebanon.

But AKP President Erdoğan did not declare any national mourning this time (at least not so far).

He only condemned Israel's attack without even mentioning Nasrallah's name.

So, why?

Why was the loyalty shown to Ismail Haniyeh withheld from Hassan Nasrallah?

After all, both organizations aim to defend and spread Islam using weapons.

Both are fighting against Israel...

Neither of them stops mentioning the name of Allah...

Even so, why does AKP President Erdoğan stand closer to Hamas, show more interest and support for them, while hesitating to openly embrace Hezbollah?

Why doesn't he have the flags lowered for Nasrallah?

Is it so that new Dilrubas don't emerge and criticize Erdoğan?

I don't think so...

Let me tell you the real reason you will never find in the AKP media:

SECTARIAN DIFFERENCE!

Both Hamas and Hezbollah are two Middle East-based Islamic fundamentalist organizations...

Both have been branded as terrorist organizations by Western countries...

Hamas means Islamic Resistance Movement, while Hezbollah means Party of God.

Hamas is of Palestinian origin, while Hezbollah is based in Lebanon.

Hamas is Sunni, Hezbollah is Shiite...

Hamas is more anti-US than Hezbollah.

Hamas only has control over Palestine; Hezbollah has representatives in the Syrian and Lebanese governments. It carries out operations all over the world.

Hamas is mostly supported financially by Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Syria, while Hezbollah receives funding from Iran, Syria, and Venezuela.

Hamas only has assassination weapons and rockets, it has no heavy weaponry... Hezbollah, on the other hand, has much more military equipment. It has aircraft, missiles, tanks, and a much more organized army...

Let's return to the reason for the different stance AKP's Erdoğan took after the two assassinations:

One of those killed was Sunni, the other was Shiite...

In other words, their paths to Allah are different!

One's path suits Erdoğan, the other's is off-track...

Do you understand now why our flags were not lowered to half-mast this time?

Or rather, nothing has changed; Erdoğan is the same Erdoğan!
