We have obtained the life story and photographs of Staff Lieutenant Colonel Halit Türkoğlu, one of the commanders of the Military Academy who was dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) on the accusation that he did not issue any instructions regarding the post-ceremony period, despite not allowing the lieutenants to recite the Officer's Oath during the official part of their graduation ceremony.

During his time as a lieutenant, he undertook an important duty as a Standard Officer in Amasya. He attended the Commando Specialization course. During his duty in Yüksekova between 2013 and 2015, he stayed in a tent in northern Iraq for 52 days with his commanders. He served as a planning officer in the Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch operations. He prepared the operational plans for the Claw-Lightning operation. He served as a joint planning officer in the Operations Departments of the Land Forces Command and the General Staff.

Due to his preparation of tactical-level operation plans in the field and his involvement in strategic-level planning at headquarters, he gave briefings multiple times to the then-Chief of General Staff, General Yaşar Güler.

While he was the Aide-de-Camp to the current Land Forces Commander, General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, in 2023-2024, he went for training at the Armed Forces Academy. From there, he was appointed to the Military Academy in mid-August, shortly before the graduation ceremony on August 30.
