Since the war that began on October 7, the government and its media have both remembered Israel's “Arz-ı Mevud,” or “Promised Land,” goal and rediscovered once again how useless the United Nations is.
Yet their mentor, the late Necmettin Erbakan, had taught them this 32 years ago:
“The purpose of the current UN is not to establish right and justice on earth, but the establishment and protection of Israel, and subsequently the establishment of Greater Israel... Soon it will take Lebanon, and following that, it will make Konya and Erzurum its provinces.”
And in those same years, Erdoğan also said the following:
“Turkey must determine its stance on the Palestinian issue with a principled foreign policy understanding and prevent the 'Greater Israel' project... Turkey must review its Euphrates water policy. There can be no greater cruelty than watering and feeding this mentality, which is a cancer microbe in the Middle East... I do not recognize Israel as a state.”
But we have also seen that during their time in power, they increased the trade volume with Israel and did not give up on trade despite all the massacres... We also saw their attempt to give the job of clearing the mined lands on the Syrian border to Israel... And the allegations that Israelis, through the facilitation of property sales to foreigners, have been purchasing land in many of our regions, especially in Urfa, on their own behalf or on behalf of others, are just the icing on the cake!..
THE INTERESTING CONFERENCE IN AUGUST
Nowadays, it is being discussed that Cyprus is also within the scope of the “Promised Land” and that Israelis are buying giant plots of land in the TRNC.
Interestingly, this issue was addressed at a conference held in the Greek Cypriot side in August, long before October 7. The reason for the conference was the Russian interest in the TRNC. Indeed, while the US ambassador to the Greek Cypriot side emphasized that there was an intense influx of Russians into the TRNC and announced that they were closely monitoring the money traffic through property sales, British High Commissioner Irfan Siddiq pointed out that Iranians and Israelis were also collectively purchasing real estate. Israeli Ambassador Oran Anolik, regarding his citizens buying property from the TRNC, said that there was nothing his country could do “since none of the Israeli laws were violated.”
IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF YOU HADN'T RESEMBLED US
This trend came onto our country's agenda after October 7. Government columnists wrote dozens of articles drawing attention to the danger.
However, the first person to bring the incident to the agenda with documents was Journalist-Author-Historian Sabahattin İsmail, a former advisor to the late Rauf Denktaş, the leader of the Turkish Cypriots and a great statesman. What happened to him when he continued his warnings on this subject? TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel called him in the middle of the night and hurled insults and profanities. More importantly, he uttered these words that revealed his approach:
"How can you write these things? No foreigner will buy property in this country, you will ruin the builders, you will collapse the economy; there is no such thing, you are making it up... You shameless man, you are serving the Greeks and the CTP. You will collapse the construction sector, there is no need for research, I know, I thought you were a friend and companion but I was wrong. What a shameless man you are, I will hold a press conference and announce that you write lies.”
Unfortunately, while no one in Turkey except for a few websites brought up this treatment that Sabahattin İsmail was subjected to, a few days later, Abdurrahman Şimşek, the News Coordinator of the government's newspaper Sabah, went to the scene himself and announced the “silent occupation in the TRNC” in a headline.
Thanks to this, all attention turned to the TRNC. President Ersin Tatar said, “There is such construction, that is true. We are taking our precautions.” Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, who had showered insults on Sabahattin İsmail, also stated that “the construction sector is growing day by day in the TRNC” and then said, “Of course, we have information about this issue. Furthermore, work is being done regarding the property problem and legal regulations will be implemented,” is that so?!
So it goes for Sabahattin İsmail, who dedicated his life to the TRNC, and so it goes for the government's newspaper... If only the officials of the TRNC, which we know to have a democracy more advanced than ours, had not resembled us!..
WHILE CYPRUS IS BEING HEATED UP
As is known, Ankara gave up hope on negotiations and decided to recognize the TRNC. However, the US-EU, which is determined to act as a guarantor for the Greek-Greek Cypriot side, opposes this policy of Ankara and imposes the resumption of negotiations.
We saw this picture during Erdoğan's visit to Athens on October 7. While Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis repeated the same theses, Erdoğan, who did not mention the recognition of the TRNC at all, said, "Resolving the Cyprus issue on the basis of the realities on the island in a fair, permanent, and sustainable manner will be in the interest of the entire region," and in a sense opened the door to negotiations. Naturally, the US was very pleased!..
And so was the EU. In the final declaration announced after the General Affairs Council meeting held the other day, it was stated that the developments in relations between Turkey and Greece and the de-escalation of tension in the Eastern Mediterranean were welcomed, while a call was made for the resumption of negotiations in Cyprus and it was emphasized that the EU was ready to play a role.
A MOSSAD RESPONSE?
With allegations of arms shipments from British bases in the Greek Cypriot side to Israel, German Special Forces soldiers coming here, Israelis acquiring property in the TRNC, and the possibility of a new negotiation process, as is known, a Mossad problem also emerged.
First, Israel announced that it would carry out assassinations against Hamas members abroad, including in Turkey. Then, Turkish intelligence sources warned that such an attitude would have serious consequences. Ultimately, Erdoğan said, "They do not know Turkey. We are not a state established yesterday. No one should forget this."
Finally, the following development occurred:
Israel claimed that “Iranian agents were using northern Cyprus, which is under Turkey's control, as an attack zone for Israelis and Jewish targets,” and announced that it had prevented a Mossad assassination attempt against Jews and that two Iranians had been arrested. In the statement made by Prime Minister Netanyahu's office, it was noted that Israel was “disturbed” by this situation.
The message intended to be given to the world was that the TRNC was a “transit base for terrorism”!..
However, both TRNC President Ersin Tatar and the TRNC Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically denied these allegations and stated that “the TRNC will not be allowed to be drawn into dark and dirty games.”
PAY ATTENTION TO CYPRUS
The Greek Cypriot side becoming a logistics base for Israeli massacres...
Precautions being taken upon Israel's purchases in the TRNC coming to the public agenda...
Turkey being forced to resume negotiations for the realization of the project of handing over all of Cyprus to the Greeks...
Despite the saying “A dog that will bite doesn't show its teeth,” these messages being given through Mossad...
Clearly, new plots are being set up to take Cyprus from our hands and completely surround Turkey from the Mediterranean.
Therefore, first and foremost, as Atatürk said, “Pay attention to Cyprus, gentlemen”!..
