Not the liquidation of an imperialist project, but a 'Treaty of Sèvres' opportunity!..

While hopes were pinned on the terrorist leader in İmralı for a “Turkey without terror”, the only thing requested was for the PKK to dissolve itself with all its branches and lay down its arms. According to Erdoğan, this way, “the wounds that terror has opened in our hearts for 40 years would be healed by joining hands and hearts,” and “the winners would not be the imperialists; it would be us, with our Kurds, Turks, Turkmens, and Arabs.”

Yes, when setting out, the undisputed goals were as follows:

“The terrorist organization must be dissolved with all its structures in Iraq and Syria... Weapons must be laid down..."

As the media clarified these goals of the government a bit more, it added the clauses: “foreigners within the terrorist organization must return to their countries,” and “those who hold Turkish citizenship must surrender to justice.”

Again, according to our media; “the US had already begun collecting the weapons it gave to the PKK”...

Furthermore, “the US and the separatist organization had reached an agreement on 10 thousand PKK terrorists leaving Syria”...

A VICTORY OF WHAT?

But what happened on March 10?

While none of Turkey's conditions for the dissolution of the terrorist organization and the laying down of arms had been met, Syria's new leader Ahmet Şara sat at the table and signed an agreement with Mazlum Kobani—who has a bounty of 20 million liras on his head and an arrest warrant against him as the perpetrator of many actions in our country, primarily the 2007 attack in Dağlıca where 12 of our soldiers were martyred and 8 were kidnapped—and signed an agreement.

Even İbrahim Karagül, one of the government's “conqueror” columnists, emphasized that “the agreement does not currently include the disarmament of PKK/YPG elements or the dissolution of the organizations” and that it “does not provide clear information on what will happen to the dream of autonomy,” while pointing out that “the agreement was organized by the US,” Erdoğan and other officials were content to say, “We will see how it is implemented.”

A large part of our media, on the other hand, was once again ecstatic, like the saying “the student surpasses the master,” and was able to argue that the agreement between Şara and Kobani “points to exquisite Turkish craftsmanship in the surrender/allegiance of the terrorist YPG/SDF,” and that “Turkey is in every step of this historic victory!”

WHAT ARE THESE?

Before the ink on those lines and that agreement could even dry, the facts were laid bare.

The terrorist Mazlum Kobani reiterated his demands for “the integration of the SDF into the Syrian Ministry of Defense,” “the inclusion of the Kurdish people in the constitution,” and “regional autonomy”...

Two days after the Şara-Kobani signature, a social media account belonging to the Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve, under the US Central Command (CENTCOM), announced that US forces had conducted a joint exercise with PKK/YPG terrorists.

Immediately after, the so-called autonomous administration and its assembly, along with the Syrian Kurdish National Council (ENKS) affiliated with the Barzanis, objected to the “draft constitution for the transition process” announced by Şara.

Meanwhile, the KCK, the umbrella organization of the PKK, responded to the “dissolution” call of the terrorist leader in İmralı by stating that “it is not possible to convene a congress under these conditions.”

IS IT THE “LIQUIDATION OF AN IMPERIALIST PROJECT”?

One of those who rejoiced at the agreement between Şara and Kobani was Mehmet Uçum, one of the Chief Advisors to the President. Uçum described the agreement as the “process of the liquidation of an imperialist project.”

Whether it is or not; let's take a look at the imperialists.

The US and France, who have been weaving their plans in the region for years, welcomed the agreement and noted that “the security of their Kurdish partners has been guaranteed”...

Germany gave full support and stated that “the integration of the Kurds and their military forces into the Syrian state structure is an important step”...

Expressions of satisfaction also came from the EU and the UN... It was also noteworthy that UN Secretary-General Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said, “Our Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen... encourages relevant international parties, including America, Turkey, and regional partners, to support their Syrian partners. This will support a national ceasefire and enable real agreements, and will also lead to peace and tranquility in the northeastern region of Syria.”...

Of course, Russia also welcomed both the terrorist leader's call and the Şara-Kobani agreement with “satisfaction.”

Anything else?

Terrorist leader Cemil Bayık said that the agreement “between Northern and Eastern Syria and Damascus” is “a beginning”...

DEM Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan; expressing his “gratitude” to the terrorists who brought them to this day, said, “Nothing was in vain... Today, the struggle of those who paid the price in Turkey, the Middle East, and Syria has reached a process where they will achieve democratic rights with equal citizenship.” Regarding the terrorist leader's call, he commented, “For the first time in 100 years, an opportunity has emerged before the Kurds and the peoples of the Middle East.”

What could this “opportunity” from 100 years ago be?! Of course, it is nothing other than the Treaty of Sèvres!..

So how is it that even at the Presidential level, this process can be presented as the “liquidation of imperialist projects”?!

THE FOREIGN MINISTER ALSO CALLED HIM A “FOUNDING WILL”

Is there a success for Turkey or not? Finally, let's listen to Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

Fidan, who went to Şara after that agreement along with Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and MIT President İbrahim Kalın to “review the agreement reached between the Damascus administration and the YPG”; made the following assessments regarding the agreement between Şara and Kobani:

“Everything, especially the schemes for the future regarding the YPG, can be on the agenda. If there is an agreement signed in good faith, let it be fulfilled. However, there may be mines laid for the future there. As Turkey, we are monitoring this closely. Hopefully, there will be a transition to normal life in peace without too much bloodshed and terror will end. We do not think there is a concession regarding the search for autonomy. This is not a modern or good thing either. It is not good at all in our geography.”

Whether autonomy has been granted to the terrorist organization or not; Fidan does not “think” it has been granted... The rest of the business is left to “God willing”... In other words, we have boarded a vehicle and are heading toward the apocalypse!..

While Fidan, like MHP Leader Bahçeli, used the terms “founding leader” and “founding will” for the terrorist leader, he explained that this process was actually entered into in 2013, but that “the organization was deceived,” “its mind was poisoned,” and that is why so many years were lost; then, regarding the new process, he said, “If they take a step towards not evaluating this, if others poison their minds as they did in 2013, that is their own business. We are ready for any scenario.”

In other words, he gave the message that Turkey has nothing to lose.

Really?

As Hamit Köse, President of the Federation of Martyrs' Families, said, “to reach a state of hoping for help from a traitor to the homeland, receiving permission or advice from him, and expecting help from a terrorist organization,” is this not, first and foremost, “toying with the honor and pride” of the Turkish Nation?

What more could there be?!
