“Entirely domestic, national, and a product of state wisdom,” as the new resolution process is described, let us continue to explain with concrete examples the meaning of the PKK's call to dissolve itself and "integrate with the state and society," which forms the backbone of the “paradigm” of the terrorist leader in İmralı.
After HTS leader and acting President of Syria Ahmet Şara (Colani) signed an agreement with Mazlum Kobani, the so-called general of the PKK/YPG/PYD—who appears as the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and has an arrest warrant against him in Turkey—Salih Müslim, one of the ringleaders of the PYD who was welcomed with red carpets in Ankara during the first resolution process, declared that this agreement “riveted the Rojava revolution,” that they were “partners in the state's... administration, constitution, life, economy, everything,” and that the letter the terrorist leader sent to Kobani “contained no discourse regarding disarmament or stepping back from their self-defense.” Müslim also stated that international powers acted as mediators for the agreement.
How dare you expose these things and plant seeds of doubt in the ears of us Turks!..
While Nevşin Mengü was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison just 14 days ago for interviewing him, the Türkiye Gazetesi newspaper suddenly gave Salih Müslim a platform. This time, Müslim said, “We did not sit at the table under the direction or instruction of the US or any other country. We have no demand for autonomy,” and explained that “the Middle East equation will be strongly affected by this peace process” and that “they want to live as part of the Turkish and Syrian people and within the law of brotherhood.” The issue of disarmament or self-defense was not touched upon at all.
WHAT ARE ERDOĞAN'S ''SOME PREPARATIONS''?
Recalling that the government says regarding the new process, “Give and take, there are no conditions,” while the PKK-DEM front says “there are requirements,” let us return to Ankara.
Upon a question, Erdoğan stated that if the İmralı delegation requested an appointment from him, he would grant it, and the DEM members requested an appointment on the same day.
On March 13, as Erdoğan arrived for an iftar dinner with members of parliament at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), he shook hands with Sırrı Süreyya Önder from the İmralı delegation, and a pleasant, laughter-filled conversation took place between them. Önder explained that in the conversation, they discussed each other's health and the appointment request, and that Erdoğan also asked how the “process” was going.
Unless Erdoğan was asking Önder—who 11 years ago told them, “I am from Adıyaman. Excuse me, I am a Turk, I am receiving treatment”—how his treatment for being a Turk was going, there was nothing to laugh about in these matters, but anyway!..
So, what did Pervin Buldan, one of the constant actors of İmralı, say about the Erdoğan-Önder conversation?
First, she revealed that the terrorist leader had told them, “It would be good if you had a meeting with the President; if you share my thoughts and the process with him.” Then, she claimed that Erdoğan told Önder, “It would be better if we have this meeting after the holiday. Because we have some preparations,” and noted that they do not yet know the content of these preparations.
DEM Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan also answered the question of what they would ask of Erdoğan as follows:
“We must proceed calmly; we are discussing a 200-year-old issue; one should look at the big picture, not small details... The organization already said, ‘I will lay down arms.’ Let the infrastructure and requirements for this be fulfilled, and the organization will lay them down. Öcalan’s entire focus is on ‘how this state can be democratized, how Kurds can be equal and live in brotherhood.’”
While these developments are taking place, let us look at what two important pens of the government have written.
Okan Müderrisoğlu, Ankara Representative of Erdoğan's newspaper Sabah, made the assessment: “At the current stage, although political and territorial integrity are emphasized in the draft constitution created for Syria, the path to cantonal organizations that would cause headaches for Turkey in the foreseeable future has not been blocked. After the February 27 İmralı call, while the PKK problem ends for Turkey, it is highly probable that a Kurdish problem of a different nature will be generated,” and then proposed this “solution”:
''Therefore, it is very clear that the responsibility of guardianship for all Kurds in the region will sooner or later fall to Turkey, which continues its support for the stability of Damascus. Naturally, thinking that this interaction will necessitate multi-faceted public administration reform in a Terror-Free Turkey, public opinion must be prepared!''
Turkey assuming the guardianship of all Kurds in the region... Carrying out “multi-faceted public reform” for this... And preparing public opinion for this... If Pervin Buldan's claim is true, could these be what Erdoğan meant when he said, “We have some preparations”?!
IF THE TERRORIST ORGANIZATION IS TO ENGAGE IN POLITICS IN SYRIA
While TBMM Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş says on one hand that “steps will be taken in Turkey as expected after the İmralı call,” and on the other hand that “we will experience a period where the terrorist organization is thrown into the dustbin of history,” Abdülkadir Selvi explicitly decreed the following:
“What will the PKK-YPG do after laying down their arms and integrating into the Syrian army? I don't know if it will be under the name of the PYD or if they will form a new party, but they will be able to lay down their arms and engage in politics. Mehmet Ağar’s thesis of ‘Let them engage in politics in the flat plains’ is becoming valid in Syria.”
Wouldn't one ask; if the terrorist organization becomes a party and engages in politics in Syria, wouldn't the same thing be desired and happen for Turkey too?!
This is exactly one leg of the terrorist leader's paradigm of the PKK's “integration with the state and society.”
2013 AND “INTEGRATION WITH THE STATE”
After that vague agreement foreseeing the integration of the terrorist organization into the Syrian army, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who went to Damascus with Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and MIT President İbrahim Kalın and met with Ahmet Şara for 3 hours, recently made some statements on a television channel, almost every sentence of which needs to be examined separately.
For now, let us just draw attention to his words: “Actually, this process was entered into in 2013, it was happening, but they deceived the organization by showing as if there were some opportunities in Syria, and so many years were lost.”
Since it is said, “Where did we leave off?”; let us refer back to the 2013 İmralı negotiations.
In the meeting on June 24, while the terrorist leader was talking about the commissions he wanted to be established, he said:
“Security Commission: It is very important. I am opening this for the first time: The guerrilla is currently the only guarantee of the Kurds. What will happen afterwards? A security conference should be held for the Kurds. JİTEM, assimilation, culture, and destruction of nature... Who will ensure the security of the Kurds? Will there be a representative of the Kurds in general security? For example, can a Deputy Undersecretary of MIT be from the Kurdish Movement? A village security unit that comes to power by election, for example. Like traffic police, municipal police, watchmen attached to municipalities... If the laws are passed, the second phase will be over... If the project is legislated, the normalization phase will be entered. No one will be left inside or outside. There might not be a general amnesty like that. The Parliament has to find a way. It has to find a way without making a distinction between administrator and militant.”
That was also reported at the time with the headline, “Let Fidan's deputy be a PKK member.”!..
Let us end with these words of MHP Leader Bahçeli, who strongly opposed the process in 2013:
- “Who has gotten into the Prime Minister's head, whose promises of presidency have seduced his mind? Will he make himself President and the İmralı monster the head of the so-called Kurdistan? This that is happening is the greatest disaster that could befall the Turkish Nation.”
- “The autonomous administration declared by the PKK in the north of Syria is the second link of Kurdistan. Now the third one is next in line.”
