Imagine the terrorist leader as Minister of Defense!..

When Turkey launched Operation Peace Spring on October 9, 2019, to eliminate the terror corridor in Syria, Trump wrote that insult-filled letter to Erdoğan—which he still displays in his hotel—and demanded a "ceasefire." Erdoğan retorted, "We will absolutely not declare a ceasefire, we will not sit down for negotiations with the PKK/YPG."

Following the letter, Trump sent the two Mikes—his then-vice president Pence and Secretary of State Pompeo—to Ankara. After hours of negotiations, it was announced that under an agreement—which the US called a "ceasefire" and Turkey called a "pause in the operation"—the Turkish Armed Forces would halt the operation, and the PKK/YPG would withdraw 32 kilometers south from northeastern Syria within 5 days/120 hours.

Was that agreement followed? No. On the contrary, the PKK/YPG/SDF became a state-like entity in "Rojava-Western Kurdistan," and representative offices of this so-called administration were opened in many countries. With the Jolani-Shara revolution, the terrorists settled back west of the Euphrates, and even in Aleppo.

Yes, today we are again talking about the agreements and ceasefires between Jolani-Shara and the Syrian PKK. When the first integration agreement was signed 10 months ago on March 10, the pro-government media ran headlines saying, "YPG has surrendered."

However, what they said did not happen; the PKK/YPG/SDF stalled for 9 months. Upon this, the Damascus administration, starting from Aleppo, launched operations to send the aforementioned address west of the Euphrates back to the northeast. As a result, on January 18, Jolani-Shara announced that an agreement had been reached with the SDF.

The pro-government media ran the following headlines regarding this agreement:

"SDF has knelt, Shara is the sole leader... The end of the road for the terrorist organization PKK/YPG... The terrorist organization has given up... They gave up in one day... YPG has surrendered... SDF was forced into line."

Columnists made comments such as: "SDF/YPG has raised the white flag... The next stage is Israel; see you in the Golan, in Jerusalem... Checkmate: It's Qandil's turn."

Even Erdoğan, who used cautious language regarding the March 10 agreement, this time congratulated Jolani-Shara, stating that the operation resulted in a ceasefire and full integration, and that the era of terror in our region has completely closed.

But before the ink on the digital signature had even dried, SDF ringleader Mazlum Kobani announced that he did not recognize the agreement, and clashes resumed.

WE NEED TOM BARRACK

Following this, Trump's colonial governor Tom Barrack held a meeting with Mazlum Kobani, along with the Barzanis, who are "walking in step with Israel's Syria policy." The Barzanis stated that "what is happening causing harm to the Kurds in Rojava is in no way acceptable," and demanded, along with a "ceasefire and peace," that "the rights of Kurds and all components be protected and guaranteed in the Syrian constitution."

Ultimately, as of today, a 4-day ceasefire agreement was signed, this time for Hasakah. Under the agreement, it was announced that Mazlum Kobani would propose candidates for Deputy Minister of Defense and the Governorship of Hasakah, that a list of names to be represented in the Syrian People's Assembly and individuals to serve in state institutions would be submitted, that military units would not enter Kurdish villages, that Jolani-Shara would implement Decree No. 13 regulating the linguistic, cultural, and citizenship rights of Kurds, and that the calendar and details regarding the peaceful inclusion of Qamishli and Hasakah into the Damascus administration would be negotiated later.

Tom Barrack, the colonial governor whom Abdülkadir Selvi praised as "someone we need," emphasized that the SDF's function in this regard has largely ended because the Jolani-Shara administration has taken over the fight against ISIS, and while the status of "SDF fighters" remains one of the controversial issues, he said the agreement "offers an opportunity to take part in the administration far beyond the semi-autonomy the SDF possessed."

DID TRUMP SELL OUT THE PKK/SDF?

Throughout this entire process, many figures, including MHP leader Bahçeli, claimed that Trump sold out the PKK/SDF.

Let us forget that the man who is said to have "sold them out" allocated a share for the PKK/SDF from the 2026 budget and sent 76 vehicles of military and logistical aid to Rojava on January 15, described as the "largest convoy of 2026"; this is Trump, he would sell them—"he doesn't spare a chicken where a lion will come"!

Setting aside what they will ask from Turkey and the Barzanis being brought back to the forefront; if Jolani-Shara is going to fulfill the demands of Israel-USA to the letter, such as fighting Hamas, signing the Abraham Accords, and accepting the occupation of the Golan Heights, what need is there for the PKK/SDF?!

Was it not already announced that Jolani was "brought into politics" by the US and an initiative run by a UK-based non-governmental organization, and that "Jolani's rise was secured by a step taken by Trump in 2018"? Did Trump, who praises Jolani at every opportunity, not say just the other day, "You couldn't expect to put a clean kid in a place like that and have him achieve something."?

WHICH WILL BE THE MODEL: SYRIA OR TURKEY?

As is known, Jolani-Shara recognized Kurdish identity and accepted Kurdish as a national language with a decree issued on January 16.

Devlet Bahçeli, the architect of the new PKK opening, supported this decree by Jolani-Shara in a statement he made two days later, on the grounds that it would "strengthen the concept of Syrian citizenship," while also demanding that the new constitution have a character based on every ethnic and religious segment living in Syria, and furthermore, that "a government structure based on a presidential system be built."

In the same statement, while Bahçeli said on one hand that "the SDF is a terrorist organization and is not the representative of Syrian Kurds," he also demanded that "the SDF and its derivatives be completely dissolved and integrated into Syrian state institutions in a way that there is no turning back."

Bahçeli's words regarding "Syrian citizenship, Kurdish education, and the constitutional guarantee of all ethnic and religious segments" were and are being discussed, especially in the context of Turkey. Let us also provide a reminder regarding his "presidential system" proposal.

Last July, he had voiced a project for "Alevi and Kurdish vice-presidency" for Turkey.

Let us first adapt this to Syria:

Ilham Ahmed, the co-chair of foreign relations of the so-called Rojava autonomous administration, had claimed during the negotiations in September that it was proposed that terrorist leader Mazlum Kobani or another officer from the SDF become Minister of Defense or Chief of General Staff.

Would you like it if Mazlum Kobani—who has signed his name to many actions in Turkey, whom Bahçeli calls a "terrorist" while simultaneously proposing his integration into the Syrian administration—or another SDF member were first made Minister of Defense or Chief of General Staff, and then, after the transition to a presidential system, brought in as vice president as the "representative of the Kurds"?!

Returning to Turkey;

In the new process, the terrorist leader in Imralı—who is still referred to as the "founding leader" by Bahçeli, even though Bahçeli has accepted that he has no influence over the PKK/YPG/SDF and DEM after he was practically made the representative of our citizens of Kurdish origin—said the following during the 2013 opening:

"Who will ensure the security of the Kurds? Will there be a representative of the Kurds in general security? For example, can a Deputy Undersecretary of the MİT be from the Kurdish movement? A village security unit that comes to power by election, for example. Like traffic police, municipal police, watchmen attached to municipalities... If the laws are passed, the second phase will be over... If the project is legislated, the normalization phase will be entered. No one will be left inside or outside. There might not be a general amnesty like that. The Parliament has to find a way. It has to find a way without making a distinction between administrator and militant."

Given that it is emphasized that the processes in Turkey and Syria are running/will run in parallel; let us ask this:

Will the project of "integration" of the terrorist organization be implemented in Syria first and then be made a "model" for Turkey, or will it be implemented simultaneously in both countries?!
