Thank goodness no 'PKK flag' was unfurled in Tunceli!..

In the call made before the memorial service for Ali Haydar Kaytan and Rıza Altun—who were killed in operations conducted by the MIT in 2018 and 2019, but whose deaths were only announced at the so-called congress held by the PKK at the beginning of May—they used the following expressions: “We are commemorating the brave children of Dersim, who were a beacon for us in the struggle for truth and freedom with their dervish-like lives, tomorrow at Seyit Rıza Square.”

They marched through the streets of Tunceli chanting slogans of “martyrs never die”...

They held a minute of silence, stating that these two terrorists “gave their lives for the peoples”...

Amidst chants of “Serok Öcalan” (Leader Öcalan), they read the following message from the terrorist leader in Imralı:

“I have heard and learned of the martyrdom of Ali Haydar Kaytan and Rıza Altun with great sadness. While I will make comprehensive assessments in memory of these comrades later, for now, I express my wishes for commemoration with great respect. Their place in our struggle for national existence and democratic communality is permanent. They will play their roles forever as fundamental inspiring values in the paradigm and institutionalization of the new era. They will live and be kept alive in our struggle as permanent guides. On this occasion, I respectfully salute the decisions taken at the historic 12th Congress and the messages regarding the upcoming period.”

In the speeches made, they said the following:

“Rıza Altun, who set out to hold the Nimrods and Yazids to account... Two brave children of these lands... The elder brother of Dersim, who turned into a torch in the fire of Kurdistan’s freedom... The companion of the founding sage of the resistance, Mr. Öcalan... We did not reach these days easily. It was won by shedding blood, struggling, bravely, selflessly, and courageously... Those who walked to the gallows upright like Seyit Rıza... May the peoples of Kurdistan be comforted... We have reached these days thanks to our heroic martyrs.”

Actually, I was going to write about another characteristic of Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu, who left the Tunceli Governorship because of this memorial.

But, when I came across an article by a very famous official of every era—whose name is not worth mentioning—in the vein of “nothing happened in Tunceli,” I first watched all the footage I could find regarding that day. The picture above emerged.

Is this what they call “nothing happening”?!

Although it is understood that the real concern of the aforementioned person is not whether something happened or not, but rather to devalue the reaction of Tunceli Governor Tekbıyıkoğlu, let us explain how he reached this conclusion.

He spoke with the Tunceli Branch President of the Human Rights Association, which acts as an inseparable part of the PKK. He claimed that after the Governor's Office closed Seyit Rıza Square, the crowd began to march following a meeting between DEM Party deputies and security forces, that they gathered and dispersed without incident with those who came from outside the province, that only food (lokma) was distributed and speeches were made at the ceremony, and that absolutely “no 'PKK flag' or Öcalan poster was unfurled,” adding, “The DEM Party is very sensitive about those issues; it was definitely not there.”

Fine. If a PKK rag and a terrorist leader poster were not unfurled, then there is no problem, we can disperse.

After all, these people have already declared the terrorist leader a “chief negotiator,” so what is there to talk about?!

What about those slogans, the expressions used in the speeches, the terrorist leader’s words about the “struggle for national existence and democratic communality,” and so on?.. Let’s ignore and turn a deaf ear to them for the sake of a “Terror-Free Turkey,” shall we!..

Let’s come to the real concern of the aforementioned person. His comments are as follows:

“A governor, regardless of his worldview, is there to represent his state. Taking individual initiative, especially in such fragile processes, is incompatible with state decorum... When viewed from the West, these look very strange, but to solve the issue at its root, we must accept different realities, even if it is difficult, and think about the nature of such processes. Therefore, although the Tunceli Governor’s individual move may seem heroic, we must ask: does this move serve the peace we are so close to, or those who want to hollow out the ‘Terror-Free Turkey’ project? I think the latter. After this incident, the warnings made repeatedly by both Devlet Bahçeli and President Erdoğan, ‘We must be careful against provocations,’ came to my mind. There may be circles that want to take advantage of the effect created by the Governor’s move and use it. Even some PKK members in Qandil who are dragging their feet on laying down their arms might want to use this atmosphere. Peace is a dish that should be waited for with calmness and patience and served cold. Excitement and daily heroics can be deceptive.”

It is as if he was on the verge of accusing Governor Tekbıyıkoğlu of “wanting to hollow out the Terror-Free Turkey project” or even “provoking,” but couldn't quite bring himself to do it!

Hey, aren't these events crimes according to our current laws?

Is it desired that these things be overlooked—just as in the past—for the sake of the process, allowing the state and the nation to be trampled upon?

Honestly, it is clear what kind of trouble those who ate that “peace” meal before brought upon the country. The nation has had enough. Bon appétit to those who want to eat it again!..

WHERE DOES THE GOVERNOR'S NAME COME FROM?

Let’s come to a new piece of information we learned about Tunceli Governor Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu, who has rekindled hopes with his stance and won a place in the nation’s heart.

It is known that his late father, Cemalettin Tekbıyıkoğlu, was a veteran police officer.

There is a backstory.

Father Tekbıyıkoğlu was assigned as a reserve soldier in the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation.

He was so affected by our Cyprus Peace Operation that he named his children Bülent and Savaş.

As you might guess, he named Bülent after the late Prime Minister of the period, Bülent Ecevit, and Savaş (War) inspired by the operation.

Is Governor Tekbıyıkoğlu’s attitude in Tunceli, coming from such a national sensitivity, to be considered “excitement and daily heroics”?
