The brave have become dependent on the US-NATO!..

Two years ago, when the NATO membership of Finland and Sweden came to the agenda as part of Western imperialism's plans to encircle Russia, what dreams the government and its media didn't conjure up for our country!..

In exchange for our “veto” trump card, it was promised that the imperialists would cease their support for the PKK/YPG/PYD and FETÖ, the arms embargo imposed on Turkey would be lifted, the doors of the EU would be opened, and even the recognition of the TRNC would be secured.

It was that same US and NATO that were the authors of all the malice: from the embargo against our 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation to the sinking of the Muavenet ship, from harboring the PKK to the hooding of our soldiers and the fragmentation of our neighbors Iraq and Syria, and from the murder of Gaddafi—the only one who supported us in Cyprus—to the July 15 coup attempt.

We had seized a historic opportunity to settle scores with all of this; but it didn't happen, it wasn't allowed to happen. While Ankara didn't even lift a finger against Finland, which has the longest border with Russia, it gave them the visa, and after making Sweden jump through a few hoops, it opened the NATO door to them as well.

What speed was that?! Even NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg was left astonished and thanked President Erdoğan for his “quick signature.”

Lo and behold, now they are almost saying, “We have won a victory!”

PYRRHIC VICTORY

What is that victory? That we made Sweden change its Constitution and Anti-Terror Law... Have we seen the implementation? No. Sure, they count the PKK as a “terrorist organization” on paper, but what happened to the “YPG/PYD and FETÖ” conditions? A single example: Erdoğan, while standing right next to the Swedish Prime Minister, mentioned Bülent Keneş by name and said, “The deportation of this terrorist to Turkey is of great importance to us.” Well, Sweden has become a member, but Keneş is still in Sweden.

Supposedly, the PKK/YPG/PYD and FETÖ had entered NATO documents, right? Setting aside the fact that US private military companies carried out the attack on December 23-24 in which 12 of our soldiers were martyred, didn't US Ambassador to Ankara Jeff Flake, who practically celebrated the victory after Sweden's membership, say regarding the YPG, “We may not always agree with Turkey on every issue.”?

Oh, and with Sweden's membership, Canada has lifted the embargo it imposed on our UAVs and UCAVs. Yes, it lifted it on the surface; but according to claims, “Turkey has promised 'more transparency' regarding where the parts to be purchased will be used.” Also, if we sell UAVs and UCAVs containing Canadian-made materials to countries that are not NATO members, we are supposed to notify Canada. Why did they impose that embargo? Because Turkish UAVs and UCAVs were used in the Azerbaijan-Armenia war. So what, are we not going to let them be used in a possible Azerbaijan-Armenia war now, or will we notify them about Iraq-Syria operations in the name of “transparency”?!

STEALING THE DONKEY AND REJOICING OVER THE SADDLE

The US has long been favoring Greece in the Turkish-Greek balance. It maintained the same stance after Sweden's membership. While it moved to grant us F-16s and give Greece F-35s and donate various military equipment, it emphasized that “the F-35 sale would not change the fundamental military balances in the region.” Moreover, Secretary of State Antony Blinken sent a letter to Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis explaining their “strategic depth” for this.

Is there a letter, a phone call, or the expected White House invitation for Erdoğan?!

No. There is only a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The F-16 sale to Turkey is also important for NATO... Thus, Turkey will improve not only its own air defense but also NATO's capabilities... It will allow Turkey to protect regional security, defend NATO allies, and maintain interoperability with the US and NATO.

In other words, it's all about them... You tell us this; if the purchase can actually take place, will we be able to use them in Syria and Iraq?!

In short; the US sat on our 1.4 billion dollars for the F-35s, and now we are rejoicing because they will sell us F-16s and give us kits!..

According to experts, the kits might be sent within this year, but the F-16 shipment will take time. By that time, who knows what will happen, and what waters will flow under these bridges!..

RUNNING TOWARD WORLD WAR III

Since it's a zero-sum game, what was the reason for Sweden's membership happening at jet speed?

First, the pro-government media announced that “regional risks were effective” in the approval. What are those rising regional risks? Apparently, the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, the Red Sea, West Asia, and the Caucasus are all about to turn into crisis zones, and that is why “we need to be in a position of a country that protects its own law within NATO, not in conflict with NATO”!..

Then, US Ambassador Jeff Flake emphasized that the membership of Finland and Sweden was a very important message sent to Russia.

Finally, Chairman of the TBMM National Defense Commission Hulusi Akar also declared, “When we look at the developments around us, a strong Turkey is needed more than ever for NATO.”

Since the US-NATO themselves created the vast majority of the “regional risks” that forced the government into such speed (!), isn't it obvious that we have practically handed our liver to the cat, and that we have jumped out of the frying pan into the fire?

ERDOĞAN: “NATO'S INVOLVEMENT IN THE WAR...”

What is that fire?

It was reported that during the second month of the Russia-Ukraine war, which began on February 21, 2022, when asked about the “possibility of NATO's involvement in the Ukraine war” at an AKP MKYK meeting, Erdoğan replied with a worried tone, “NATO's involvement in this matter means the outbreak of World War III. It is not right. NATO should not be involved in this,” and stated that Turkey would maintain its current position.

This is exactly the fire coming our way!..

Just look, perhaps emboldened by the membership of Finland and Sweden; for weeks, screams of war with Russia and World War III scenarios have been echoing. Let us recall a few.

One of NATO's high-ranking figures, Admiral Rob Bauer, stated that a war with Russia could break out within 20 years and asked both armies and citizens to be ready. Again, NATO will conduct the largest exercise in the history of the alliance since the Cold War. Turkey will also participate in this exercise, which is planned to be held in Germany, Poland, and the Baltic countries and is expected to include scenarios of a possible war with Russia...

The Swedish government called on its citizens to prepare for war...

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius reported that they are “facing a military threat situation not seen in Europe for 30 years” and suggested that Russia could attack a NATO member within 5-6 years...

France announced that it could bring back mandatory military service...

British Chief of the General Staff Patrick Sanders warned all of Europe to prepare for a major war with Russia...

Bulgarian Defense Minister Todor Tagarev announced that they have started preparing infrastructure facilities that will host 5,000 NATO troops...

IF THIS IS “LOVING THE NATION WITH INDESCRIBABLE FEELINGS”

What we mean is; as a columnist for a pro-government newspaper also emphasized, the approval of Sweden's membership is not a simple matter, it is a “fundamental break” and “directly concerns Turkey's near future.”

Even though the situation is exactly this; Erdoğan, who made Sweden a member, spoke again about imperialist powers and those who want to pull Turkey back into the position in their own scenarios during his election campaign in İzmir the other day.

On the other hand, he explained that “Turkey can display such an upright stance today because it has been able to become an independent power politically, economically, and militarily,” and said, “Our greatest strength in the struggle we have waged so far has been the support of our nation... We love this nation with indescribable feelings.”

Against the will of the nation, we have handed not just our hands, but our arms and our bodies to our arch-enemy, the US-NATO, and we are heading toward the apocalypse... God forbid; what if they didn't love this nation, who knows what would have happened to us!..
