The task the US has assigned to Turkey!...

Don't leave your news choices to an algorithm - decide for yourself what you read. Add 12punto to your preferred sources!

Ten days have passed in the Palestine-Israel war.

Turkey is one of the countries that does not consider Hamas a terrorist organization and holds direct talks with its leaders at the presidential level... It considers Palestine its "national cause"... On the other hand, for the sake of normalization with Israel, it says, "I swallowed my blood and drank cranberry sherbet" (a Turkish idiom meaning to suffer in silence).

Despite this, US President Biden has still not called our "world leader"... And Secretary of State Blinken, who has toured dozens of countries, has still not come to Turkey...

But Erdoğan is holding phone calls with dozens of leaders every day; Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, in addition to his phone calls, is rushing from one country to another.

We are not the country that is "sought after" but rather the country that is "going door to door"!..

DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS US

Leaving aside what they have done in the past, this is the US that;

Just two days before the Palestine-Israel war, while it had the opportunity to use its air systems in Syria, or even the rocket launchers it provided to terrorists to harass our soldiers, it shot down our UAV with a jet taking off from Jordan, effectively issuing a warning...

Like the saying "guilty and powerful" or "the clever thief suppresses the homeowner"; it portrayed our country as "guilty" before the world, claiming it was "destabilizing Syria"...

As always, it stood behind Israel and locked onto the goal of "eliminating Hezbollah and Hamas"...

Following the deployment of two warships and its troops, it was announced today that the Commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM), Michael Kurilla, who acts as a shield for the PKK/YPG in Syria, has traveled to Israel...

Yet Ankara is still pursuing a "solution" by doing business with this US!..

Let us share more from the words of Foreign Minister Fidan. In a statement he made yesterday to the Ankara representatives of newspapers, Fidan said that "at the request of the Americans, they have met repeatedly with their counterparts and other country officials."

THE CODE OF THE FİDAN-BLINKEN MEETINGS

So, what is it that the US, which insults and belittles Turkey in such a way, wants from us? To see this, let us follow the traces of the Fidan-Blinken meetings.

You may recall; on the second day of the war, Blinken made a post on his social media account regarding his meeting with Fidan, but then immediately deleted it. What was he saying there? This:

"I encouraged Turkey's advocacy for a ceasefire and the release of all hostages held by Hamas."

The pro-government media attributed this stance, which it described as a "scandal," to the fact that he used the term "ceasefire" for the first time. Fine, that was important; but wasn't his statement that he "encouraged Turkey" to ensure the release of all hostages held by Hamas also remarkable in terms of revealing the "mission" the US has imposed on our country?

Although that "mission" was initially hidden by the deletion, the continuation followed.

Two days ago, Fidan and Blinken spoke on the phone once again.

Whatever the meaning and significance, the government's two newspapers, Sabah and Yeni Şafak, emphasized that the request for the meeting came from Blinken. It was reported that the two ministers discussed "recent developments in the context of Palestine and Israel" and the "humanitarian situation in Gaza," and "shared their impressions regarding their visits to the region."

It was also noted that the ministers "discussed NATO enlargement." It is not just Gaza; the Middle East is on the verge of turning into a bloodbath, but it seems the US is still continuing to push for Sweden's NATO membership!..

Let's look at the US side regarding the meeting. In a statement made by State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller, it was stated that "The Secretary reiterated that Hamas must cease all violent attacks and immediately release the hostages."

In a social media post, Blinken also stated that he spoke with Hakan Fidan about "Hamas's terrorist attacks against Israel and the need for Hamas to release the hostages."

THE PRIDE OF "OUR PHONES ARE NOT STOPPING"

As is known, Minister Fidan also met with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock during his visit to Egypt.

What a coincidence; while the German Minister stated that they still have not been able to establish contact with the hostages, she pointed to "possible mediation initiatives by Egypt and Turkey" for their release. She also emphasized that Qatar and Turkey, in particular, "have channels to talk to Hamas" and called on the German government to activate these channels.

What happened after all these developments?

It was announced yesterday evening that Foreign Minister Fidan held a phone conversation with Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas's Political Bureau, to discuss the possibilities for the release of civilians in Palestine.

As of today, the US media has begun running headlines such as "Many countries are knocking on Turkey's door," while the pro-government media is reporting that "Turkey's phones are not stopping."

"Why our door is being knocked on" or what exactly the US and other imperialists want Turkey to do is becoming clear, isn't it?!

TURKEY'S "GUARANTORSHIP"?

Let us return to Foreign Minister Fidan's meeting yesterday with the Ankara representatives of newspapers. He explained to them the "guarantorship formula" that Turkey has been presenting to all actors.

"Can we turn this crisis into an opportunity for lasting peace?" He painted such a rosy picture based on this understanding!.. Without going into other details, let us suffice with relaying what Fidan said on two specific issues.

He explained the "guarantorship formula" as follows: He explained it as follows:

“Our starting point is this: The countries of the region should assume responsibility for this issue. The systematic aspect can be discussed further... We are suggesting that the countries that will act as guarantors for the Palestinian side should be from the region. This includes Turkey... Let other countries be guarantors for Israel as well... Once an agreement is reached that both sides agree upon, the guarantor countries should assume responsibility for ensuring its requirements are fulfilled.”

In response to a question regarding the possibility of Turkey sending troops to Gaza, he replied, “Frankly, we have not opened the specifics of the guarantorship to discussion, but we are currently presenting it as a main idea to the parties we are speaking with.”

First, let us ask this:

Are those who have been seeking to end our guarantorship in Cyprus for years and remove our troops from the Island going to accept Turkey's guarantorship in Palestine, is that it?!..

Then, as if there were actually anyone in the region who truly wanted peace and a solution, let us suffice by recalling the assessments of two individuals in response to this formula put forward by Fidan.

Former MP Aydın Ünal, who prepared Erdoğan's speeches for years, wrote the following in his column in Yeni Şafak a few days ago:

“Let us remind those who dream of reconciliation with Israel: The Zionists will never, ever stop until they realize the Promised Land, which includes Turkey's southern provinces. In other words, Hamas is defending not only the independence of Palestine but also the border security of Turkey. Let us thank them from the bottom of our hearts.”

Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş also said the following from India just today:

“The project of changing countries' borders: This is a statement made years ago by (former US Secretary of State Condoleezza) Rice. She had said, 'The borders of so many countries in the Middle East will change soon.' This is an ongoing process. I mean, when you look at it, Iraq is already politically fragmented. Syria has been torn apart and divided city by city. The situation in Libya and Yemen is clear. As part of the new imperial plan they have devised, we are already experiencing very serious political changes and developments in many countries in the Middle East, and even in the broader Middle East, and North Africa. In fact, unfortunately, even if it has not been officially declared, we see that there are serious fragmentations within the borders of these countries.”

Yes, these are the options before us: Are we in or out of the Greater Middle East Project (BOP)?!
