The terrorist organization has become the 'SDF'... Is 'General Mazlum' next?

Erdoğan openly opposed and strongly condemned Israel's attack on Iran. He could not bring himself to criticize Trump, Israel's greatest supporter, only managing to say “no matter who it comes from.”

That same Trump who made plans for the exile of Gazans and for casinos in Gaza...

While announcing that he had struck and destroyed all of Iran's nuclear facilities where Israel had failed, he did not let go of the threat and boasted of “achieving a great success”...

He offered his thanks to Netanyahu, and Netanyahu tipped his hat to him...

First, he spoke of regime change in Iran, then a few days later said, “There is no need, it would cause chaos.”

Finally, he set out to save Netanyahu, whom Ankara has been counting the days for him to leave, and requested that the corruption case against him be dropped...

Before the Iran attack, even Abdülkadir Selvi—who had declared that Trump's “telling the murderer Netanyahu ‘Be reasonable, Bibi’,” “praising Erdoğan,” and “his approach to the Syria issue and its contribution to the PKK laying down arms” were enough to support Trump, and who said, “We need Trump during the PKK's disarmament phase”—reached the point after the attack of saying, “This is what happens if you get caught by Netanyahu... Even the American President has become Netanyahu's toy... Trump's credibility has been shaken in this war... A ceasefire is always better than war. But I do not trust Netanyahu and Trump on this matter.”

However, after the Hague meeting, Erdoğan only said “My friend Trump” and nothing more... He boasted about getting a return call within 24 hours at the latest... He heralded that they had “opened the door to a new era” in Turkish-American relations... He welcomed the ceasefire achieved in Iran through Trump's efforts...

He explained that he had conveyed his proposals regarding Gaza and that Trump had approached these proposals positively, but he stated that the casino plan in Gaza did not come up during the 1-1.5 hour meeting. He explained the reason as follows:

“If such a thing were to come up, my answer would be clear. My stance on this matter is clear. Since my stance is clear, Mr. Trump is such a smart person that he knows well who to ask which question, and such a thing did not happen between us anyway.”

Even if Trump did not bring it up because he is a “smart person,” shouldn't those who make the “Gaza cause” their banner have asked, “What is this?” in the first place?

May our “new era” with Trump be auspicious and beneficial for us all!..

SYRIA: FROM WHERE TO WHERE?

Our topic is the Syrian PKK.

The so-called general there, Mazlum Kobani, announced that the “lay down arms” call from the terrorist leader in Imralı did not bind them, and he went to Damascus by US helicopter and signed an agreement with Jolani...

At the “Kurdish unity” meeting held in Qamishli under US-French supervision, a decision was made for a “decentralized” administration in Syria...

The so-called “Rojava autonomous administration” began signing education and energy agreements with Damascus... It determined wheat prices in the region...

If this isn't called “like a separate state or administration,” what is it called?!

Furthermore, PKK/YPG members disguised as “Syrian Democratic Forces” were placed in the bases vacated by the US... The patronage and guidance of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) continue exactly as before...

To top it all off, the leader of HTS, whom Ankara has praised to the skies, the new Syrian President Jolani, has made no statement against the attacks—just as he allowed Israel to use Syrian airspace during the Iran attack—and Israel is increasing its occupation activities in Syria...

Anything else?

Just last week, the head of the Syrian PKK, Mazlum Kobani, while advocating that the “new military order be based on decentralization,” stated, “The rights, status, and command structure of our fighters cannot be ignored; this is our red line.”

With the situation like this, Erdoğan—who in previous years said, “The US has changed the name of the YPG terrorist organization to the SDF,” and added, “No one should try to feed us the SDF as a democratic organization. Its name is democratic, but it is a terrorist organization itself”—used the expression “Syrian Democratic Forces” for the second time after his visit to Azerbaijan and return from The Hague, and said the following regarding the future of Syria and the integration of the SDF into Damascus:

“We support the new administration for Syria to become one and whole again, and for stability and peace to be built. The sine qua non of creating a unified and whole Syria again is the protection of its territorial integrity. To ensure all of this, the Syrian administration has taken steps aimed at all armed groups coming together under the umbrella of the Syrian army and working for the unity and integrity of Syria. It is the right thing for the Syrian Democratic Forces to evaluate this opportunity as well. Indeed, we discussed these issues in detail during our meeting with Mr. Macron today, and Mr. Macron specifically emphasized that he will play a more active role in these relations with Syria. We discussed with him what we can do together on these matters. We even discussed Cyprus. He also said that he would meet with Israel regarding Gaza.”

We can more or less guess the reason, but for today, let us suffice with saying “What does Cyprus have to do with this?” and note the following:

What could hoping for help from the US and France—who have been pouring weapons to terrorists, training them, digging tunnels, and working heart and soul to ensure “Kurdish unity” for decades—be other than entrusting the liver to a cat?!

THE ENVELOPE AND THE CONTENTS

Since Ankara has accepted the SDF, what is next? To guess this, let us first go back to 2019.

When Turkey launched Operation Peace Spring in Syria, Trump was President and sent that famous letter to Erdoğan, writing, “Don't be a tough guy. Don't be a fool. I will destroy your economy.” Even though our officials say the letter is “null and void, was returned, and the matter is closed,” it is, as is known, still on display at the bar of Trump's hotel in Manhattan.

Trump's letter also had an attachment; it was a letter from the so-called commander of the SDF, Mazlum Kobani, stating that he “wanted to negotiate with Turkey.”

Apart from that, Trump met with Kobani and thanked him... In response, Erdoğan said, “America must hand this man over to us.” Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu emphasized that Kobani was a terrorist wanted with a red notice... The then-Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gül also announced that the red notice had been reminded to the US once again.

Let us report on current developments.

Towards the end of May, Mazlum Kobani claimed that they had direct communication channels with Turkey and that they also established communication through intermediaries.

A week later, DEM Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları commanded, “Turkey should visit northern and eastern Syria. A delegation should also come from there.”

Last week, Mazlum Kobani stated that he would be “honored to meet with leader Apo” and that “this meeting would make a great contribution to the solution of the Kurdish issue in the four parts,” while once again declaring, “We have communication with Turkey. We want this process to turn into a lasting peace.”

And what a coincidence, Yeni Şafak's AKP columnist Mehmet Metiner wrote that a perspective that views Mazlum Kobani as an enemy would “cause losses” and asked for Kobani to be met with, just as Öcalan was met with, even if secretly!..

To get to the point;

In the Erdoğan-Trump meeting, the envelope on Erdoğan's lap was talked about the most; this photo was etched in minds after the photo of Obama with a baseball bat.

A leader as experienced as Erdoğan should have memorized what he needs to discuss, especially with the US President; what is the need for a note?!
