With the destruction movement initiated by an unauthorized judiciary, where are Atatürk's party, the CHP—the founder of the Republic—and Turkey along with it being dragged?
To understand the course of events, we must never, ever forget these two statements made by Erdoğan in the 1990s:
In 1994, while saying, "We cannot be the protectors of this order, it is impossible," he claimed, "Those who prepare this law will be the pawns for the dismantling of this order..."
In 1996, he said that "democracy is a tram; you ride it until you reach your destination, and then you get off."
Playing Dead Again
Coming to the present; currently, the CHP has two chairmen: one elected and one appointed. The Supreme Election Council (YSK), the authority responsible for these matters, issued the certificate of election to the elected chairman, while an unauthorized court issued the appointment document for the other. However, the YSK chose to play dead in the face of the usurpation of its authority.
A relative of mine recently asked the YSK a very clear and technical question under the Right to Information Act: "Since you returned the absolute nullity decision without taking action, who is the Chairman of the CHP?"
And what was the YSK's answer? This:
"In accordance with Article 10 of the Law on Political Parties No. 2820, a registry file is kept for each political party by the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation. The duties and powers of the Supreme Election Council are regulated in Article 14 of the Law on Fundamental Provisions of Elections and Voter Registers No. 298 and Article 6 of the Law on the Organization and Duties of the Supreme Election Council No. 7062, and there is no provision regarding the provision of opinions among the duties and powers of the Supreme Election Council. Furthermore, according to Article 27 of the Right to Information Act No. 4982, requests for legal opinions are considered outside the scope of the right to information."
Look at the state the judiciary has reached; it considers a clear identification question like "Who is the Chairman?" as an "opinion" or "legal advice" and does not—or cannot—answer it.
Will 'Mr. Nullity' Also Seek Forgiveness from the Son-in-Law?
Last week, there was an important development concerning the CHP.
As is known, before the 2019 local elections in which Ekrem İmamoğlu was elected Mayor of Istanbul, the CHP launched a campaign asking "Where is the 128 billion dollars?" and targeted the then-Minister of Treasury and Finance, Berat Albayrak. Albayrak filed a non-pecuniary damages lawsuit against the CHP, and it was decided that 40 thousand liras should be paid. The CHP took this to the Constitutional Court (AYM) claiming a "violation of rights," but it was rejected.
Following this decision by the AYM, Albayrak's lawyer described the campaign, which was organized by the CHP-FETÖ, as "the greatest slander in our recent political history," and stated, "It has been confirmed that the CHP has institutionalized its slanders."
AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik emphasized that "the lie of the 128 billion dollars has been registered as a great political lie told to our nation."
Pro-government media writers condemned the "slanderers," stating that the smear campaign was carried out "with the insidious cooperation of incompetent, ambitious people, mindless spin doctors, and gossiping scoundrels" and that it was "FETÖ-patented."
Some politicians, intellectuals, and journalists also demanded an apology from Berat Albayrak.
However, although the chief executor of the campaign was the then-Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, for some reason, apart from one news report in Sabah, no one mentioned his name or said a word about him.
We know the "why" very well, of course; while the country is burning inside and out, he managed to stir up both the CHP and the agenda by accepting his appointment.
If you look at the pro-government media, they say he has reached a more "national" point that coincides with the historical codes of the CHP in the last 2.5 years he has been away!..
In that case, it means there is no need for him to apologize to Berat Albayrak or ask for forgiveness for "the greatest slander in our recent political history."
"Would This Nation Entrust the State to Mr. Kemal?"
Let us also remember what Erdoğan, Bahçeli, and their media said about Mr. Kemal and the CHP 3-5 years ago.
Remember how he announced that if he came to power, he would "raze Qandil to the ground," and Erdoğan responded, "Mr. Kemal, would this nation entrust this state to you?" He also directed accusations at his municipalities and administration, saying, "The Turkey they dream of is a disreputable, wretched country where oppression, dictatorship, and fascism roam, where differences are not tolerated... whose economy is managed by IMF commissioners... that prefers to be neighbors with terrorists instead of fighting separatist terrorism..." He said, "Wasn't Mr. Kemal in Taksim during the Gezi events? He was in Taksim. What were you doing there? Because he is also a Gezi supporter."
MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli also reacted to Mr. Kemal sending letters to ambassadors regarding "Kanal İstanbul" with expressions such as "November 5 scandal... Snitching... Letter of humiliation... Espionage... The perpetual incubator of imperialism in Turkey," and noted the following:
"My brothers who have affection for the CHP will either get rid of Kılıçdaroğlu and his narrow cadre immediately, or they will watch with sadness as their party goes to the political trash heap. Kılıçdaroğlu has ruined everything. His water is boiling, his time is up... Can the trust be handed over to today's CHP administration? Is it possible to have the slightest trust in this elitist and mandate-seeking cadre?"
When leaders speak like this, does the media stay silent? Some questioned the "legitimacy" of the CHP and Kılıçdaroğlu and spoke of the possibility of it being closed down or prevented from entering elections... Some emphasized that "the current regime has the power to close the CHP if it wants to"... Others, based on Kılıçdaroğlu's "seeking forgiveness" from everyone he encountered, suggested, "Are you really sincere in seeking forgiveness on behalf of the CHP?... The only thing you can do is; close the CHP."
Well, congratulations; even if it was with a 4-year delay, he has effectively brought the CHP to the point of closure!..
The Last Passenger of the "Democracy Tram"
But on the contrary, they love him very much now; they not only announce the "moves" he will make before anyone else, but they also show him the way.
Why? Because it seems he will have quite a mission within the scope of the PKK opening and Erdoğan's re-election projects.
Let's start with the PKK opening.
In the first process, when he proposed "amnesty for the PKK," he angered Erdoğan as follows:
"Can you ignore the cries of the mothers, fathers, and siblings of our martyrs? For one thing, I would be the first to oppose such a general amnesty. I do not see such a right in myself. How can you say such a thing, who gave you this authority?.. Thought and opinion crimes are one thing, but if you try to package murderers and terrorists into this, that is something else... Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu has a habit. He speaks differently in the East and differently in the West, differently in Tunceli and differently in Istanbul. We do not have such a nature. Whatever it is in Van, it is the same in Ankara..."
When he went to the CHP Headquarters to take his seat, what was one of his first words? He said, "We support Turkey's brotherhood project not to bargain for the protection of our seats, but to fulfill our debt to our country and our people!"
Since he has given a blank check regarding the PKK opening, let's look at the issue of Erdoğan being elected once again. It is enough to remember the answer he gave to the question of why he remained silent when Erdoğan's third candidacy came to the agenda in the previous election. Didn't he say exactly this?
"Let's say we spoke out, where will it go? To the Supreme Election Council. Who appoints those members? Erdoğan. Who will object to the decision he makes? There is nowhere to object. Even the Constitutional Court does not look at this decision. If you remember; you put 4 ballot papers in the same envelope in the Istanbul elections, well, 3 are correct, 1 is wrong... They did it because the order came. Therefore, we do not have a thought like being locked into whether Erdoğan is a candidate or not."
Since there is no change in the status of the objection authorities, and since he himself has digested sitting in the seat in an unlawful manner; this matter is also settled!..
As the Gates of Hell Open
The new Mr. Kemal wants to kick Ekrem İmamoğlu, whom he chose and made mayor, out of the party, and even let him rot in Silivri; do you know what he said 3 years ago about the lawsuits against İmamoğlu and his removal from office? He said this:
"I hope such a process does not happen. If it does, they will have opened the gates of hell. I cannot explain what we will do now, but I guess you can more or less guess what this expression means. The duty of someone who comes with the votes of the people cannot be terminated by the decisions of courts that take orders."
While Trump's colonial governor, who gave "legitimacy" to Erdoğan, said, "Strong nation-states are a threat to Israel," and proposed "benevolent monarchies" or "monarchical republics" for the countries of the region, it is clear why these things are happening/being made to happen in the CHP.
The "gates of hell" are being opened wide. First the CHP, then the dissolution of the Republic!..
Woe to those who carry wood to hell!..
