Those who do what is required by the script handed to them by the imperialists!..

While introducing his district mayoral candidates in Ankara the other day, Erdoğan said the following word for word:

“We hope that these 'zübük politician' types, who do the exact opposite of what they promised before the election once they take office, will not set a bad example for our youth... Those who act as extras in the games staged by those uncomfortable with Turkey's political, diplomatic, economic, and military breakthroughs only repeat the scripts handed to them by the imperialists and act as props for the terrorist organizations they unleash upon us.”

He was, of course, referring to the opposition again.

Yet, just one day before those words, one of the biggest scripts of imperialism—Sweden's NATO membership—was accepted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) with the votes of the AKP and MHP, and furthermore, they had also received support from the CHP, the Future Party (Gelecek Partisi), and DEVA.

IF THEY HAVE A CONGRESS, APPARENTLY WE DON'T HAVE A PARLIAMENT

With the “Yes” decision, Erdoğan's previous remarks regarding Sweden's membership broke records for clicks. Since the “U-turns” on the country's national issues are a common occurrence, there is no need to repeat them. But let us still recall some of his statements from the last 4 months.

After a brief meeting with US President Biden in September, he emphasized that they kept saying “Sweden, Sweden” in opposition to the F-16 purchase, and declared: “When it is said like this, I have an answer to give. You keep saying Congress, Congress. I also have a congress. Where is my congress? The Grand National Assembly of Turkey.”

At the beginning of December, while stating that Canada was insisting on “Sweden, Sweden” for the UAV-SIHA cameras we requested from them, he put an end to it with the words: “The US is saying the same thing. If you have a congress, I have a parliament... If we are two allied countries in NATO, then do your part in solidarity simultaneously, and our Assembly will take the necessary decision. That is the situation.”

In mid-December, he explained that Sweden and the F-16s came up again in his meeting with Biden, and that Biden had expressed, “You pass this through the Assembly, and I will pass it through Congress in the same way,” and that it was said, “Let US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan manage this process simultaneously. If we manage this simultaneously, we will have the opportunity to pass it through parliament much more easily.” He then said, “I believe that the positive developments we expect regarding both America's F-16 issue and Canada keeping its promises will accelerate our parliament's positive view on the matter.”

What kind of simultaneous process is this!.. Neither did the US Congress approve the F-16s, nor did Canada lift the UAV-SIHA embargo; but the TBMM accepted Sweden's NATO membership at jet speed.

Naturally, we have been graced by the “appreciation” of the whole world, and even the US Ambassador to Ankara, Jeff Flake—whom Erdoğan had put in his place last year by saying, “The doors are closed to him, he cannot enter again”—what more could we ask for?!

Biden has deceived our people, and our people have deceived the Turkish Nation once again!.. Apparently, while there is a Congress in the US, there is no TBMM in Turkey!.. What of it?!

AGAINST WHOM ARE THE F-16S REQUESTED?

Still, one should not lose hope in God. Look, after US State Department officials reported for the umpteenth time that Biden supports the F-16s, they said, “It plays an important role in arms sales to foreign countries,” and pointed to Congress again.

It is as if Biden has received approval from Congress for arms sales to Israel, which is raining death on Gaza!..

US officials also noted that “the approval of Sweden's membership would be a key assessment before the sale of F-16s to Ankara.”

First, let us ask this: Why does Ankara want to strengthen its Air Force with F-16s? Primarily against PKK/YPG attacks in Iraq-Syria and Greek threats in the Aegean-Mediterranean, right?

Then, let us underline it again; does the US Congress not have a condition that the F-16s should not be used in Syria or against Greece, other than the Sweden issue?

It is obvious that the “simultaneous” process is being turned into a process of first lulling the Turkish Nation to sleep and then making them forget. Look, while US State Department officials are saying these things, it is announced via the British Reuters that Biden has sent a letter to Congress for the F-16s.

Well, if it is true, this does not count as an official notification... However, it seems that only after the official approval documents go from Ankara, that is, after Erdoğan signs the TBMM decision, will the US State Department send the official notification to Congress, and so on...

HEY CHP, WHY ARE YOU SO SUBMISSIVE?

Our writers, Attorney Turan Karakaş and Bahadır Selim Dilek, explained the sorry state of the CHP, which supports Sweden's NATO membership, very well yesterday; but let us also have a word or two.

The CHP, which said “yes” in the TBMM one day earlier, commemorated Uğur Mumcu—who was murdered 31 years ago and had shouted, “Atatürkism means national independence and national honor... An Atatürkist is anti-imperialist... I am an anti-imperialist... I am in favor of a fully independent Turkey”—with tear-jerking expressions the next day and promised to pull “the brick.”

Saying “No” to Sweden's NATO membership was pulling one of the biggest of those “bricks”; but they embraced the imperialists' script and practically fortified that “brick” instead!..

We understand the government, but does anyone know what makes the CHP so submissive and beholden to the US/NATO?!

WHO REWARDS THE MURDERER OF THEIR CHILD?

Let us importantly remind those who gave great speeches and shed tears in those days.

The separatist terrorist organization martyred 12 of our soldiers on December 23-24, and 9 of our soldiers just 11 days before the TBMM approved Sweden's NATO membership.
