DEM, the representative of the terrorist leader and Qandil in Parliament, has prepared a 99-page report for the new opening.
The report has everything... Let us summarize the main points:
Education in the mother tongue... Changing the definition of citizenship in the Constitution... Reducing the central government's control over local administrations... Establishing a Truth and Justice Commission; in other words, holding those who fought against separatist terrorism accountable... Withdrawing military armored vehicles and special operations units from the region... Abolishing the village guard system and seizing their weapons... Lifting the reservations placed on the UN Twin Covenants regarding minority rights; in other words, paving the way for the "right to self-determination"... Signing the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages and the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities, and recognizing Kurds, Arabs, Laz, and other ethnic groups as minorities, in addition to our non-Muslim citizens defined in the Treaty of Lausanne... Removing the phrases "the principle of the indivisibility of the Turkish existence, State and country, Atatürk nationalism, and his principles and reforms" from the preamble of the Constitution.
It is not over.
There is also the claim that the so-called "Kurdish issue" should be based on the Treaty of Lausanne and that the 1921 Constitution should be accepted as a "historical institution and contract".
In short; everyone with eyes to see and a mind to understand is aware that a second Treaty of Sèvres is being placed before us.
Of course, DEM does not have the power or the audacity for this. Their masters who give them this courage are what matter.
For this, it is enough to remember the "Kurdish" reports prepared by American-British think tanks, Henry Barkey, and David L. Phillips, the US State Department's reports on Religious Freedom in Turkey and the EU's Turkey Progress Reports, and the Barzanis' hostility toward Lausanne.
The MHP, the architect of the new opening, also submitted a 120-page report to the PKK commission in the TBMM. The report contains views that are diametrically opposed to those of DEM, with whom they have decided to walk together, especially regarding the "Kurdish issue," mother tongue, and the definition of citizenship.
Regarding this fundamental disagreement, Mithat Sancar from DEM's Imralı delegation stated that this is a "political negotiation process" and gave the message that "common ground can be found and this process can be brought to success."
Feti Yıldız, the MHP member of the commission, dismissed DEM's grave demands, which mean "We want the title deed of the Republic of Turkey," by saying, "Everyone's proposal goes into the report, it is presented as an addition to the jointly prepared report. Those who want to add a reservation can do so," while commenting on the report submitted by the CHP yesterday: "There is nothing new regarding the process outside of their daily political rhetoric. I guess we forget that politics is a serious business that requires responsibility...."
What, was the CHP supposed to say, "We are signing DEM's report," or "We also do not want Lausanne," or "Öcalan is the founding leader, he is the representative of the Kurds"?!
KURTULMUŞ SHOULD HAVE TORN UP THIS REPORT BEFORE DESTİCİ
We will come to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Numan Kurtulmuş, whom the terrorist leader in Imralı wanted to be in the lead role in the "constitutional convention" back in 2013, and who is now working heart and soul for both the opening and the new constitution.
After DEM's report was officially submitted to Parliament, Mustafa Destici, Chairman of the BBP, a partner of the People's Alliance, tore it up and threw it away, saying, "The report prepared by DEM, the political extension of the PKK, has no value in our eyes or in the eyes of our nation... It is nothing but a rag," while Numan Kurtulmuş, the head of the Gazi Assembly founded by Atatürk, gave a "full speed ahead" message in his address to the ambassadors he accepted within the scope of the 16th Ambassadors Conference.
For example, he said that "efforts to end the PKK were also made during the times of Süleyman Demirel, Turgut Özal, and Necmettin Erbakan," but that "unfortunately, all these processes remained inconclusive due to the efforts of circles that did not want terrorism to end," and that "similarly, during the AKP governments, this process reached a certain maturity in 2013, and the process was wasted by certain elements, especially FETÖ, at that time."
Let us intervene immediately and point out an important similarity in the minutes that Cengiz Çandar said "belongs in the trash can" and which Numan Kurtulmuş allegedly had summarized for the bureaucrats in the TBMM. It is stated in the minutes that the terrorist leader in Imralı told the three deputies sent to him the following:
"(Öcalan) stated that he had abandoned the idea of real socialism since 1995, that mental transformation is a painful process, and that he should have normally dissolved the PKK in 1993, but that a hand sabotaged this attempt every time. He defined this sabotage process as a coup mechanism and stated that this coup mechanism also had an effect on the fact that the indirect negotiations with Turgut Özal, Süleyman Demirel, and Necmettin Erbakan from 1993 to the present could not be concluded."
First, let us name this; the main reason why the aforementioned leaders and the AKP's initial opening processes remained inconclusive is not the "coup mechanism" or "circles that do not want terrorism to end," but the realization that it is impossible to fulfill the never-changing demands of the terrorist leader and the PKK and to make the nation accept them.
Come on, let us see if you can make the nation accept it this time!..
Secondly; Kurtulmuş argues that the process was "wasted by certain elements, especially FETÖ" in 2013, yet before joining the AKP, he said the following regarding the "Kurdish opening" and in response to Erdoğan's statement that "there is no Kurdish issue":
"I said from the very beginning that it would reach a point of deadlock. Because the Government had no compass... If I were Prime Minister, I would first apologize on behalf of the state for the unsolved murders. I would also apologize to the families of the martyrs... What steps have been taken in 9 years that there is no Kurdish issue left in Turkey?"
Returning to Kurtulmuş's address to the ambassadors; his main emphasis was this:
"I hope this process will be successfully concluded. This time we will win. This time Turkey will win. This time the imperialists and their puppets will not be able to win this. No matter what happens, I hope Turkey will win, our nation will win, and we will remove terrorism from Turkey's agenda forever."
Before Kurtulmuş, when Erdoğan claimed, following the terrorist leader's so-called "call for the dissolution of the PKK and laying down arms" on February 27, that "Turkey will not only thwart the bloody games of imperialism, but will also hopefully reach its goals in economic development and foreign and domestic policy faster," we asked this:
"Since imperialist games are being thwarted thanks to the terrorist leader; why do all the PKK supporters, from the USA to Saudi Arabia, from Germany to the EU, feel 'satisfaction' and call it a 'historic opportunity' and a 'historic step'?"
Now, let us ask this to those who "do not see the log in their own eye" despite DEM's report:
While the TBMM has been made to engage with the terrorist leader, who is a puppet of the imperialists, and imperialist plans have been officially brought into the TBMM, who are those imperialists that are being told "They will not be able to win this time"?.. If you would explain them by name, we would know!..
