You Don't Need to Be a 'Soothsayer' to See the Plan, but Are We In or Out of the Greater Middle East Project?!

At the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Erdoğan announced that after Palestine and Lebanon, Israel's next target is Turkey. At the TEKNOFEST-2024 festival, he stated: "An insidious plan has been put into action in our region that will not be limited to Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. You do not need to be a soothsayer to see and understand where the ultimate goal of this plan lies."

Continuing, he spoke of the "promised land" (Arz-ı Mevud) again and said:

"We will not turn a blind eye to our geography being torn apart once again by a new Sykes-Picot partition."

Before Erdoğan, a figure from the AKP also made the following claim in his column in Yeni Şafak after praising those words of Erdoğan in Parliament:

"The truth is that a role suitable for this expansionist plan of Israel had been written for Turkey in its domestic and foreign policy until now, and Turkey was acting in accordance with this role. During Erdoğan's time, Turkey objected to this role and gradually moved away from it."

What does that mean?

That all administrations up until Erdoğan acted in accordance with the role assigned to Turkey in this Israeli expansion plan. And that Erdoğan opposed this and gradually moved away from that role!..

So, how did he do this?

As far as can be understood from between the lines; by fighting against PKK terrorism, and by opposing hate speech between Turks and Arabs and "radical secularism"...

Let's start with the PKK.

Yes, there was and is a fight against terrorism; but wasn't there a negotiation table set up with the PKK and its terrorist leader before?

More importantly; weren't the Iraq and Syria legs of the "Greater Kurdistan" project, which is one of the ultimate goals in our region, brought to life?

Let's continue with Erdoğan's words: "We will not turn a blind eye to our geography being torn apart once again by a new Sykes-Picot partition."

Wasn't the fragmentation of Iraq first, and then simultaneously Syria and Libya, and their being dragged into civil war, a requirement of the Greater Middle East Project (BOP), which is the Sykes-Picot of our age for Israel and the US? Did Erdoğan himself not take on the co-chairmanship of this project and support the "tearing apart of our geography"?

IF THEIR PAST ACTIONS ARE NOT A GUARANTEE OF THEIR FUTURE

If Ankara's past actions are not a guarantee of what they will do, let's talk about Syria, which is right next to us and acts as a buffer between us and Israel.

The US has now started providing cyber training to the PKK members there...

First, the murderer Netanyahu's son, Yair Netanyahu, ranted: "End the occupation and oppression of Kurdistan by Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria! Free Kurdistan!"

Immediately after, one of the terrorist leaders in Qandil, Duran Kalkan, pointing to the US-NATO plans to seize the Eastern Mediterranean, said, "Will Syria pose an obstacle? If they learn a lesson from these, it might not be an obstacle," and stated that the crunch time would come in Cyprus and that the center of the war would be Turkey.

Let us suffice here by reminding that the commander of the US regional force CENTCOM, Joseph Votel, promised the PKK terrorists in Syria and Iraq in Kobani back in 2016 that "You will descend to the Mediterranean," and let us ask this:

While that plan is working like clockwork, why can Ankara no longer carry out a large-scale operation in Syria? Yet, on June 25, Erdoğan had said, "Hopefully, we will carry out much more determined and result-oriented operations throughout the summer months. We will continue our struggle until the last terrorist is removed as a threat to our country."

Or why is there no cooperation with the Syrian administration, both in the fight against the PKK and against Israeli aggression?

Let's speak plainly; isn't it because the US does not allow either of them?!

WILL NATO PROTECT TURKEY?

The theses of those who believe that Israel cannot easily attack Turkey are also quite interesting.

For example, a writer for the pro-government media argued the following:

"Attacking Turkey is not like attacking Hamas or Hezbollah. Hamas and Hezbollah are political parties kept under heavy sanctions because they are on the US list of terrorist organizations; their activities to train and equip their armed wings were limited to the support provided by Iran, and they never had an air force."

The reason widely cited is that Turkey is a NATO country.

Let's answer these one by one:

Are the boss of NATO, the US, and other so-called allies not imposing sanctions on Turkey, first on the grounds that we are fighting the PKK under the name of "human rights," and then because we are a "threat" in Syria?

Did the US not pocket the 1.5 billion dollars we paid for the F-35s?

We approved the NATO membership of Finland and Sweden in exchange for both these countries and NATO supposedly recognizing FETÖ, PKK/YPG/PYD as terrorist organizations and supporting our EU membership, right?

What happened; other than recognizing the PKK as a terrorist organization on paper, which one did they accept? Recently, Finnish President Alexander Stubb was in Ankara. Didn't he say that Turkey's EU process is a separate issue?

THE TARGET BEFORE THE ULTIMATE TARGET

Let's underline this; Erdoğan announced that Israel's "ultimate target" is Turkey. After a fragmented Syria and Israel—not counting Yemen, which the US and UK have been bombarding with warplanes—there must be another country in line before that ultimate target.

It is a cautionary tale; Yemen was the country to which the US, along with Turkey and Italy, entrusted the co-chairmanship of the BOP!..

There is no need for "soothsaying"; it is crystal clear that the target before Turkey is Iran. What is important is the role assigned to Turkey, which still maintains its "strategic alliance" with the US in reaching this target and expresses its commitment to the "security of NATO and the Euro-Atlantic region" at every opportunity.

You know, they say, "Israel cannot easily attack Turkey because it is a NATO country"; didn't these people prepare plans to bring Israel closer to NATO and the EU back in 2005, while deciding that NATO's new mission was "the war against Jihadism and Islamist terrorism, and for the new Berlin Wall to be the Middle East"?

Was the "war between the Sunni full moon and the Shia crescent" not foreseen in the projection prepared by the CIA for the 21st century?

During the term of Condoleezza Rice, who announced the BOP, didn't US State Department officials say, "Turkey, which is a neighbor to Iraq, Iran, and Syria, is of critical importance for our interests in the Greater Middle East. We need Turkish officials to be participants in responding to the strategic challenges in this part of the world... We believe our strategic alliance with Turkey regarding Iran is solid."

In the context of this process, what happened other than the developments in Iraq, Syria, and Libya with Turkey's contributions?

The AKP government approved Israel's OECD membership in 2010... and accepted the opening of a representative office within NATO in 2016.

Let us recall the atmosphere in NATO and the EU, which we are still chasing for membership, after the Palestine-Israel war, which has now completed its first year.

While the then NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said, "Israel is not alone," European Commission President Von der Leyen, who held a moment of silence for Israel with commission members, announced that they would not hold a moment of silence for those killed in Gaza on the grounds that "They are Muslims."

Her deputy, Margaritis Schinas, stating that all 27 EU countries together defend Israel's right to self-defense, also made the following call to Turkey:

"Turkey must choose its side. Will it be on the side of the EU, NATO, and their values? Or will they support Russia, Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah? They should decide which side of history they want to be on. They must have a clear answer on this."

Yes, the moment of the big decision is approaching. Although the pro-government media targeting Iran as much as, and sometimes even more than, Israel gives quite a few clues, we will all see by living through it whether Ankara says "Yes" or "Continue" to the BOP.
