Israel, the Middle East, and Turkey

Former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, while serving as National Security Advisor, stated on August 7, 2003, that within the scope of the Greater Middle East Project (GMEP), the regimes and borders of 23 countries would change. The countries comprising Mauritania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan covered a geography of 17 million square kilometers.(1) 

In a 2019 interview with CBC NEWS TV, then-US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, referring to Gaddafi, who had been killed eight years prior, would say, “We came, we saw, he died.” The US, with the backing of NATO and certain other countries, and unfortunately with Turkey’s participation, had toppled Gaddafi and gifted a fragmented Libya to the world. Just as it had done in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria… 

It turns out that most of the Soros-affiliated figures and liberals who called this Israeli project the “Arab Spring” or a “People’s Movement” were, at best, serving the project of Israel and the US. It is unknown whether they possess the self-confidence to engage in self-criticism…

In fact, the US did not shy away from clearly stating its goals through its most authoritative voices and numerous documents. The Greater Middle East Project was very clear. Even if all documents and the historical process were ignored, former NATO Commander US General Wesley Clark explained the US goals in very understandable language in a 2007 TV interview. Clark recounted his conversation with a general at the Pentagon as follows: “Ten days after 9/11, I went through the Pentagon and saw Secretary Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary Wolfowitz. I went downstairs. One of the generals called me in… We were bombing Afghanistan at the time. I asked, ‘Are we still going to war with Iraq?’ He said, ‘Oh, it’s worse than that.’ He reached over to his desk, picked up a piece of paper, and said, ‘I just got this down from upstairs. This is a memo that describes how we’re going to take out seven countries in five years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and finishing off with Iran.’”(2)

The former NATO Commander, a US General, had spoken about the Pentagon’s plan for the fragmentation of Iraq, Syria, and Libya on live television in 2007, four years before the start of the “Bloody Autumn” storm. Not only was there no one among the Islamic countries listening to the US general who explained the century’s project on live television, but some Muslim countries actually supported this US project. And so, we arrived at today… Turkey did not oppose the invasion of Iraq in 2003, and it cooperated with the US when Syria was fragmented in 2011.

Iraq, Libya, and Syria were fragmented. There is unending internal conflict in Lebanon; Sudan has been divided, and acts of violence do not cease; widespread terrorist acts are a part of life in Somalia. The fragmentation of Syria and Iraq and the ongoing instability in these countries have completely cleared the way for Israel. The US goal was very clear. There was a delay in the target, but no deviation. At the current stage, the US and Israel say that Iran is next.

It was impossible for the US, Israel, and the UK not to have known about Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack. The US needed such a signal flare to change the Middle East. Hamas fired that signal flare. And now, the final target of the US and Israel is Iran…

In May 2015, the President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government, Masoud Barzani, visited the US. He met with President Obama and then with Vice President Biden. During this meeting, it was stated by Barzani that Biden had said the following: “Both of our lifetimes will be enough to see the independence of Kurdistan with our own eyes.”(3) And Biden is currently the US President…

And some Muslim countries are condemning Israel. While Iraq was being invaded in 2003, and Syria and Libya were being fragmented in 2011, the Muslim countries that cooperated with the US paved the way for Israel and prepared the end for Palestine. Now they are condemning it… The Palestinian issue was an Arab-Israeli issue. The Arab countries that helped in the fragmentation of Iraq, Libya, and Syria reduced the issue to an Israel-Hamas problem.

Israel will occupy southern Lebanon, and then southern Syria. It will unite with the PKK/PYD terrorist organization and become a neighbor to Turkey. What is Turkey doing? It is satisfied with its position as the country hosting the most refugees in the world… It is not taking concrete steps toward sending them back to their countries.

The implementation of a foreign policy based on the principles of the Great Atatürk—“based on national power and national interests,” “realism,” “full independence,” “anti-imperialism,” and “Peace at Home, Peace in the World”—is the prescription for Turkey to emerge from the fire with the least amount of damage.
