A 'sinkhole' the size of Turkey: Zombie monarchists are determined!

Is there anyone who has read a single sentence, heard a word, or seen anything?

In Turkey, the ruling party plays with the opposition like a cat plays with a mouse. In response to this, is there any serious objection coming from the Western democracies that the opposition wants to reach out to and begs for help?

We are not talking about statements that can be summarized as the generic "We are against the violation of the rule of law!" and so on. Even if they are few and far between, they exist. But they have no significance. Because they contain no sanctions.

There is no compelling assessment from the "West" regarding the legal hell currently centered on the CHP in Ankara, which has been analyzed and taken a position on in detail.

We say this not because there should be, but to describe the picture clearly: Why would they adjust a country where the soldiers, military experts, monopolies, and even atomic weapons of imperialist countries roam freely on its soil, on the grounds of legal murders? We are in a land where an opposition leader, who can claim in the morning to be on the path of the unforgettable Deniz Gezmiş, but in the evening performs somersaults in front of the country's largest monopoly and strikes up a conversation with the strange head of a fascist party, publishes praises of NATO in Newsweek.

For the imperialist system, all of this is normal.

If what is being done does not fit the nature of Western democracies, it would not fit anything else.

Therefore, let us set aside the perfunctory news snippets, the so-called commentaries, and the flirtations of some politicians of the "It's a shame, don't do it, stop it!" variety regarding the practices of the government in Turkey. No concrete intervention or obstacle has definitely come from the European Union members under Berlin's hegemony. And it won't come.

But in the very near future, perhaps tomorrow or the day after, if the Islamist government in Ankara begins to step on the toes of the imperialists, even if unintentionally, we might see cries of protest. It is certain that the Islamist Ankara will not do such a thing; it is seen that both its government and its opposition are subservient to imperialist policies. But this author wrote about the "Return to the Ottoman Empire" on the night of November 3, 2002, and published it immediately afterward in his column in Cumhuriyet Hafta. He even published it as a book in 2008, adding another adjective to the title. It is a book that has undergone quite a few investigations. This means we can see the future. For Turkey's true progressives, socialists, independence-minded, egalitarian, secular intellectuals, and patriots, these events are not surprising.

They knew, we knew, that it would come to this.

The game is over, and we must start a new one. With the aim of saving the Republic and renewing it as an enlightened labor republic, egalitarian, liberating, and without violating the borders of our neighbors, while definitely being prepared to step on the toes of imperialism...

Is it not possible?

If it is not possible, then Turkey will not be possible either.

They are already working to ensure it doesn't happen, and it is understood that they have made great progress.

FASCISMS ARE BACK ON THE AGENDA IN EUROPE

However, things are not going well in the Germany of Europe, to which Turkey is tied at the core. The continent is heading toward a new and overt fascist rule.

We constantly emphasize that there is a government in Italy that is the heir to fascism. In Austria, the Netherlands, France, and—most importantly—Germany, public opinion polls show that if elections were held today, the leading parties would be far-right (fascist) parties.

We see that social democrats, greens, and even "leftist" parties that call themselves socialist but whose greatest fear is socialism have turned into militants of a new militarism through their hostility toward Russia.

But their internal relations are not good at all. For example, France's biggest fear is now that neighboring Germany will increase its annual defense budget to 150 billion euros by 2029. This item was the only one for a long time where France, which has its own nuclear weapons, could keep up with Germany. This defense budget will be double that of France's, and Paris has begun to think poorly of Berlin, especially regarding its withdrawal from the joint fighter jet project (FCAS).

What does this mean?

This: Frightening frictions within European democracy are also on the horizon.

Therefore, they are in no position to deal with an Islamist government that does not cause trouble, rarely speaks out of turn, threatens occasionally but never follows through.

No capital in Europe cares that a "zombie monarchy" is being established here, that a "sinkhole" is spreading, or that the law is being trampled underfoot. They wouldn't even let a pebble touch the foot of a government that prevents millions of migrants from entering the EU.

But countries also collapse like this.

Especially the dreams of a "Return to the Ottoman Empire"... They will all remain under this wreckage; that is not the problem, our poor people and an enlightened republican initiative will also remain under the wreckage. We have no reason to pity the rich. What is truly painful is what our poor people will suffer...

If Turkey's progressives, intellectuals, and true labor leaders do not rise up in line with a program of "salvation and reconstruction," this end is inevitable.

Anyone who takes a look at the historical line stretching from Yugoslavia to Syria understands what we are saying...
