Is Turkey the only country where reason has been sidelined?

There is no major difference in between.

Between what?

Between Turkey and the “democratic EU countries.”

On the contrary, there is a very serious parallel at play.

Let us start here: We can say that an undercurrent is forming in Turkish society. The public no longer has the strength to endure. This anger will explode somewhere, with a spark. In fact, recent attempts are aimed at seizing and neutralizing this aforementioned undercurrent, just as it was in the June days of 2015.

The entire plan of the Islamist government is in this direction. But the “opposition” is also involved.

If the opposition thought that the conditions for a pro-people government had been met, it would surely have shown how this pro-people government would differ programmatically from both the current government and the conventional opposition—let’s say, the CHP and DEM.

Did they do it?

Can they do it?

Who are they?

There are no answers to all these questions right now.

But what we know and recognize is that Turkey has long since withdrawn from the stage and has been crushed, bent, and even diminished by the fists of an Islamist government. The Republic no longer exists.

It is being torn apart right before our eyes...

Well, why shouldn't it be torn apart? After all, why should a political unit, a country whose surroundings are crumbling, experience a process different from the fate of its neighbors, near and far? Why should it remain on a different track than the Yugoslavia-Syria line? We are being pushed there.

TERRIFYING PLANS

We have written here that the key line of this region is the Turkey-Iran line, that Turkey is also a key country, and that the final major phase of the plan involves the dissolution of these two major political units. I believe we also drew attention to the Oded Yinon Plan.

What was that plan?

In a very, very brief summary: For Israel to survive as a regional imperial power, the existing Arab states had to be divided into smaller states based on ethnic or religious grounds, and this process had to be supported. Who could claim that this plan, prepared for the 1980s and revealed to the world by the famous Jewish intellectual Israel Shahak, has been off the agenda since 1989 (especially looking at Turkey's immediate surroundings)?

We are in the final phase of that plan: This means that for the world system to survive in the Turkey-centered region, the line we mentioned must be divided into small, “mafia-like” states based on ethnic and religious grounds.

Anyway...

That is not the point. What we want to say is that in the new world disorder, irrationality has taken the reins of government in all states in our region, and they are trying to make the peoples resemble them as well.

One of the most important indicators of irrationality in state administration must be arming oneself like crazy against a non-existent enemy and ultimately triggering a war of some scale. This is extremely evident for the US, as well as for the EU, or rather, “Germany’s Europe.” The situation in Europe was like this before, when the Soviet Union existed, but now it has “leveled up.” Because during the Cold War, there were truly reasonable hands “at the head of the water on the cold side of the curtain,” and they wanted peace.

That is no longer the case.

Therefore, there is no guarantee that the Putin administration will not strike some part of Europe with tactical nuclear weapons when things go south. It is a matter of historical record that the USSR did not destroy the cities of Nazi Germany with phosphorus bombs from above, even though it suffered 27 million (perhaps 40-45 million with indirect effects) deaths. There is no longer any leftist government there that attributes a sanctity to the working masses. The dimensions of the war will be terrifying. They are pushing the world there.

Europe has been in the grip of an irrationality for a long time, that is, a political climate where reason and the reasonable have been sidelined.

Let us look at ourselves.

Didn't an Islamist politician in Turkey say that the public believes in the AKP so much that they would even believe it if they were told they had built a road to the Moon? Making the public “gullible” must be something like this. And you can only do this accompanied by an ethnic and religious madness.

Is the situation in democratic Europe any different?

Let us put the US aside; the mass support for Trump’s madness is obvious. Let us look at the EU.

We are looking for irrationality, aren't we?

It is not hard to find. Especially in democracies, there is plenty of it.

GREENPEACE’S RESEARCH

It is like this: A study by Greenpeace was published during the week. It emphasized that the annual (2025) armament expenditures of NATO members in Europe and Canada combined ($626 billion) are many times higher than Russia’s ($190 billion). Especially the number of soldiers is a clear indicator. While the number of soldiers of these NATO members in Europe and Canada (excluding the US) is 3.3 million, Russia’s number of soldiers is approximately 1.3 million... In other words, Europe has surpassed Russia many times over in the military field.

The team that conducted this research, which is “certainly not pro-Russian,” must also have been surprised by the difference.

What we want to say is this: There is no aggressor or enemy in sight. But there is a Europe arming itself like crazy. They seem to have succeeded in convincing their peoples of this, or at least ensuring that they do not oppose the irrational policy being pursued.

In short: Irrationalism, the sidelining of reason for whatever reason, and the fact that administrators consist of teams in the grip of such madness is not a distortion unique to Ankara.

Democratic Europe is also heading full speed toward very bad times, a war or a period of wars, in the grip of a similar irrationality.

Our age is an age where rationalism in politics has been discarded. Irrational administrations believe that they can only govern the people if they can sideline reason and logic.
