The brakes have failed! Europe and Turkey are on the warpath

Unfortunately, they are very determined. Germany's Social Democratic Defense Minister Boris Pistorius declared it quite openly just the other day. If it is left to them—that is, if they are not reined in by a mass anti-war political movement—the danger of the Europe of Germany being erased from history is growing. We have seen before that they are losing what they have while chasing after illusions: the year 1945, as we know.

This time, the use of tactical nuclear weapons is also on the table. Russia is reminding them—not so much through its head of state, but through its second- and third-tier experts and politicians—that it will not meet this increasingly Germany-centered aggression with silence. The warnings of “We will finish it, it would be a pity for the German people!” are out there.

But no one is listening.

They continue to pour fuel on the fire.

Berlin must convince both its neighbors and its own people that being the leading state of Europe requires being a military power. However, because the democratic mainstream media has successfully hidden everything, the broad masses are not yet aware of the seriousness of the situation.

Unfortunately, there is no one thinking about what kind of place “AKP’s Turkey” will have in this climate of disasters. It is not in the government, and it is not in the opposition either. Let us say this while setting aside our handful of patriotic socialists for now. (But these people are the yeast; they might be able to hold it together, of course.)

We need to find one or more justifications for these outbursts and analyze them. We will try to do so.

One does not need to dig too deep to see what kind of “total war” preparation this is. In an interview spread by all agencies the other day, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen revealed the calculation in their minds. According to this “terrible aunt,” Europe had to integrate, and if it failed to do so, it would fall into the sphere of influence of the bad guys. On this “list of bad guys,” along with China and Russia, was Turkey. This is the current view of the Berlin-Brussels axis toward Ankara.

Well... who can say that Ankara does not deserve this?

MILITARY STRATEGY: EUROPE'S STRONGEST ARMY!

Boris Pistorius underscored again mid-week that Germany will become Europe's largest military power. When Ursula von der Leyen, the Christian Democrat and gynecologist daughter of a highly right-wing family, presents this “list of bad guys,” has she not declared that her world is not much different from that of the Social Democrat Pistorius?

It is so.

But they are planning terrible things. They are afraid of the system collapsing on top of them. And because all the brakes that existed in the 1945-1991 period (“real socialism and its traces”) have completely failed and been erased from the consciousness of the peoples, there is no one left to hold their hands. The peace movement is already non-existent.

The German economy, struggling in an energy trap, is shaking violently. Everyone is aware of the wave coming from the bottom. There is a crisis, but the salary and dividend incomes of the managers and shareholders of the DAX Index, which includes the largest German companies, have hit the ceiling. The contraction in the economy does not bother those who manage the financial industry. The fact that 15 thousand people face layoffs every month because their workplace is being liquidated does not interest them much either; it is even considered “cleaning.”

Furthermore, it is certain that pensioners in Germany will be condemned to lower, misery-level pensions in the future than they are today. This is a group of 22 million people. Pensioners were already only able to receive at most 48 percent of their average salary during their working years, and it is understood that they will lower this rate even further. Meanwhile, the practice of working people having their spouses—especially those who take care of children at home or work in part-time jobs—covered by social security through them will also be abolished. They were forced on this issue, though, because there is a reaction, but they will try. These were all gains that were the product of that old “threat of real socialism.” They had been forced to do it. Once those brakes were removed, they are canceling them.

Well, 36 years have passed. They assume real socialisms have been forgotten...

THE SNAKE THAT SHEDS ITS SKIN: AS THE NEOLIBERAL ERA CLOSES

Meanwhile, it has been finalized that billions will be invested in the arms industry (“defense industry”) to revive the German economy, whose growth figures have been stagnant for years. Berlin even announced that it is calculating the production of UAVs/UCAVs (“drones”) in Germany by cooperating with Ukraine. Moscow keeps sending messages saying, “We will hit those places!” These are nuclear weapon warnings. Things are complicated...

They have no other choice, anyway...

Germany is determined to build an army with a total personnel count of 460 thousand, including reserves, by 2035. They will also violate all past international agreements or circumvent them. “Reserves” could be a trick devised to break that circle. Ultimately, the militarization of society will also be provoked by these. These things cannot happen without an ideology. Everything is possible.

Germany, despite the risk of conflict with France, seems to have realized that it cannot be content with being a geo-economic power and leader against Russia under new conditions. If the army, as a whole “security bureaucracy,” is not going to be tasked with protecting the interests of big capital in foreign markets and even domestically for the growing economy, what will it be tasked with? Will security-oriented politics defend the interests of the poor people? Or is this a breakthrough to exert pressure not only on dependent countries but also on the poor people at home? There is also a need for “ideological violence” at play, take note!

These things will happen. It is not easy to be a power that will determine Europe. Declaring Russia an enemy is not either...

Although there are industrial capital circles that see that neoliberal democracies are leading Europe to a disaster. But let it not be thought that a friction within capital will brake fascistic tendencies; on the contrary, we are talking about a breeding ground that could strengthen these tendencies.

Right now, we see that far-right parties are at the top of public opinion polls in Germany, France, and England. The far-right in Italy, Meloni, is already in power.

We are in a “Kafkaesque” climate where the working millions are silent.

Turkey is right in the middle of this climate.

Are new Goeben and Breslau battleships, whose format we do not know, at the door? Are they going to produce such things? Is the Black Sea a new area of provocation?

Russia is their arch-enemy, fine, okay, but it is also Turkey's next-door neighbor.
