Three unanswered questions and what is it that does not decay?

Life presents us with questions that we could easily answer, but which those to whom they are addressed, for some reason, avoid answering clearly.

Turkey is full of such questions. It is absolutely full of them...

The first two directly concern those in power and/or the capital, or more accurately, the "despots," while the third is a question "from within our own ranks."

SUSPICION OF THE SECURITY BUREAUCRACY

One: Why couldn't they purge the lieutenants?

The AKP government reacted to the lieutenants who graduated from the Military Academy on August 30, 2024, crossing their swords and chanting the slogan "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" and reciting the "Officer's Oath." The reaction? Lieutenant Ebru Eroğlu, the top graduate of her class, and four other lieutenants were dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK). Some are returning to the army, and so on.

But what is happening? Why, apart from a few of the brightest (and of course, clean) names, were they unable to purge anyone?

Why couldn't they "cleanse" an entire class and even those before it?

No one is answering this. They cannot. But I suppose everyone knows the answer.

Despite a nearly quarter-century-long regime of tyranny, is it because an AKP state has not yet been fully established, is it because the Islamist administration cannot fully determine what is brewing deep within the security bureaucracy, or is it because these lieutenants and the sensibilities they represent still maintain their presence and even their weight in the most critical points of the state?

Why do they not dare to repeat what was done after May 27, in the Talat Aydemir case, or during the March 12 and September 12 periods—those massive purges of military personnel—despite such a situation?

The answer to this question is known, but no one, including the opposition within the system, is voicing it.

Just as İsmet İnönü reminded the very young Sarp Kuray, who said he loved him, of what his own generation—who said "Long live my Sultan!" as the Ottoman Empire was ending—actually thought... Are they not sure at all about the most important institution? What kind of fear is this?

What should be frightening the owners of a regime of tyranny that makes the Democrat Party (DP) era look like nothing?

SUSPICION OF THE JUDICIAL BUREAUCRACY

Two: More importantly, in a country where the rule of law has been completely trampled upon, why is there a persistent need for specific judges and prosecutors for certain practices? Are they observing a reaction accumulating within the judicial system, within that large bureaucratic structure?

Why do only certain names sign decisions that trample upon all fundamental concepts of law?

Is this helplessness perhaps because, despite "filling the judiciary with their own men," they have not been able to take it over completely?

THIS IS THE QUESTION "FROM WITHIN"

Three: Oğuzhan Müftüoğlu has brought a breaking point in the Turkish revolutionary movement that spans over half a century back to the agenda. Oğuzhan Müftüoğlu's critical statements regarding Ertuğrul Kürkçü's survival of the operation on March 30, 1972, in which all his comrades were massacred, and his subsequent political stance in the courts, have stirred the scene a bit. A question has emerged.

This is a question from within us, that is, from within our left, our socialists, and I suppose it is a reckoning.

But why now? Why a few days before the 54th anniversary of that massacre?

Why might Müftüoğlu have felt the need to draw such a clear line between one segment and another on behalf of a group? Surely no one believes that such an experienced figure could make such "remembrances and reminders" without considering the consequences.

There is something else in between. But what is it? There must be other things in the background of creating such a scaffold of objection today against Ertuğrul Kürkçü's heartbreaking right-wing tendencies and his symbiotic relationship with liberals and American-backed Kurdish politics. Other contradictions and crossroads that are considered absolutely necessary...

What are these?

THE QUESTION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE ANSWER

The attack on Iran, the setting of Turkey's immediate neighbors on fire, the crumbling of existing borders like dominoes, and the realization that all fault lines in the region will break trigger many questions.

Turkey, the most important of the states that have been decided to be collapsed, is at the center of the grand equation or this chaotic knot. We are the key country. If they cannot succeed in Iran, which seems to be the case, they will try from Turkey. In other words, a tsunami is at the door.

We are the ones saying that everything is decaying.

But a different exit, from Hamlet's perspective, is hidden in this ring of fire: Shakespeare had Hamlet say in the first act, "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark"...

We have to act from the exact opposite and say, "It seems there is something in Turkey that does not decay!"

But where are they?

We do not know, but the despots do not know either. I suppose that is why they are so afraid.

Could this be the "pre-fear" of the tsunami coming our way?
