War ruins all plans!

Of course, there is a poetic lament by the great Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, who lived in the first half of the last century and whose work has been translated into many languages, including English; in a quick translation, it goes like this: “I bear the wounds of all the battles I avoided.”

Focusing on the social fragmentation we are experiencing, we see that things are moving in the exact opposite direction. For example, we are getting hung up on another, inverse “truth” for capitalism and capitalists: It is a “lament” that reminds us, in reverse, of the capital order and the rulers of that order who think—and succeed in doing so—that they “will never bear the wounds of all the battles they entered into willingly.”

It is exactly like this: Free market, free enterprise, democracy, etc.—whatever you call it, capitalism is, by definition, a system that constantly creates wars within itself and always produces conflicts “among partners.” We can justify this fate with the tendency of profit rates to fall and/or the inability to realize overproduction.

Anyway...

There is a crisis. In the end, they just cannot do without war. Even though it is known that they will be heavily wounded, or even receive fatal wounds, it cannot happen without war.

Why?

Prof. Dr. John Mearsheimer also said some time ago that the US is a slaughter machine that creates war after war. He said, “The US killed 38 million people between 1971 and 2021.” That speech is circulating on social media. This means that the “plutocrats” who completely took over the state during the years of neoliberal madness believe that they can restore the US, whose power is melting away, to world leadership through such massacres.

That is the staff.

That is the material.

But the partners, who do not neglect to give signs that they are subservient to the big boss, have begun to openly state that they will not get involved in this Iran adventure any further. Paris, and especially Berlin, are taking steps back in this direction without making “very authentic” statements. Germany's social democratic “Minister of War” Boris Pistorius, for example, felt the need to announce yesterday that they do not look favorably upon the conflicts in the Strait of Hormuz, saying, “This is not our war.” There is pressure.

Europe is truly seething. Everyone is saying something different.

The right is also in disarray...

THE SITUATION ON THE FRANCE-GERMANY LINE

News of the far-right's success came from the elections held in France on Sunday. On the same day, elections were held for municipal councils in Hesse, one of Germany's major states, and the “far-right” AfD (Alternative for Germany) interpreted the ballot results with the words, “We have achieved a great success.”

Meanwhile, it has emerged that the EPP, where classic right-wing parties in the European Parliament (including the German CDU and CSU) come together, will support the same Migration Law as far-right parliamentarians, and that the right worked jointly with the far-right during the drafting stage of this law. This bill envisages the creation of “return hubs” in non-EU countries for asylum seekers whose asylum applications have been rejected. In other words, unwanted asylum seekers will be “shipped off” from the EU to those places. We do not yet know whether a “task” will fall to Turkey if this bill becomes law.

Let this stand aside for a moment.

What is more important is this: Such cooperation means that the so-called “firewall” between the Christian democrats and similar classic right-wingers and the “European far-right,” whose rise cannot be stopped, will be canceled.

These things are happening. But we must accept that all calculations are now invalid. Because hot war is dominant and will spread not only in the “Middle East” but also in Europe.

WAR WILL INEVITABLY TEAR UP “MENTAL MAPS”

The problem is this: War eventually ruins all plans. It changes people, especially the poor masses.

Those who think that habits and procedures in conditions where there is no war and the crisis is relatively mild will last almost forever—both the rulers and the ruled—suddenly lose all their brakes.

We know this from history. War results in the cancellation of all borders and all “mental maps.” The rulers admit their helplessness, while the poor 99 percent who are ruled find the confidence to build a new world out of the deadly desperation in which they are struggling.

Everything that was said to be impossible happens.

Modern times have such a bloody gift for humanity.

Capitalism digs its own grave through these wars as well. On purpose? On purpose, and falling flat on its face every time.

Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, and now Iran... Let's add Ukraine. They are raining bombs on these places and think that this will not produce a result that will put them in a difficult position. European plutocrats and their democratic servants or vassals believe this.

The thing they forget is this: War breaks all doors and windows; a person who comes face to face with death and sees their loved ones torn to pieces declares all the conventions they have learned and followed to be invalid. 1908-1923 was such a process. 1917 was too. 1945 as well...

I think we are in front of those doors now.

The question is this: Where does Turkey stand in this fracture, and what will “Germany's Europe” do?
