After Despotism

The act of determining a state leader through categorical choices by every individual who has reached a certain age and possesses no mental disability is a new reality of the last few centuries. At the final stage we have reached, we make a choice from the ballot provided to us. Since humanity has not yet reached the level of perceiving that choosing none of the options is also a right, there is no "none of the above" option on the ballot. As a species that has only very recently managed to push its average life expectancy beyond half a century, we do not have much time to be patient. In this state, choosing the most correct option in a short time and excluding all the wrong ones is the most rational possibility. While only 15 successful legal experts can become members of the Constitutional Court and 208 high-level academics can become university rectors in our country, everyone can choose the person who selects these individuals—the president. It is clear that this system, which resembles having rectors, deans, and professors at a university chosen by students, or judges in court chosen by defendants and plaintiffs, needs to be improved.

This period, in which we are being exploited like 18th-century India, will surely end one day. However, if we do not reach a consensus today on utilitarian and majoritarian decisions based on concrete facts, the uncertainty of the post-despotism era will outweigh the current pain of despotism, and we will suddenly find ourselves in the middle of a storm. We must show that evil is punished and good is rewarded; we must convince society to be good. We must remove crime, criminals, and those who praise and/or encourage crime and/or criminals from society in a definitive and absolute manner, taking El Salvador as an example. In our country, where the good live at the level of Afghanistan, judging criminals with the innocence of Finland drives away the good and attracts the bad like a magnet. For this reason, we must learn to treat the good as good and the bad as bad, and by accepting the reality that we have been living with nearly 15 million Middle Easterners in the Middle East and since 2013, we must prioritize justice, not equality.

While millions of exemplary citizens wait in fear at attention before law enforcement, we must accept that the eradication of those with countless criminal records from our society is a matter of survival, and we must take action to exclude the 2-3 million untamable people who terrorize and drag society down. We must finally realize that treating those who are human as humans, rather than those who are merely born human, is a virtue, and the opposite is stupidity. There is no room for everyone on this ship, and there should not be. By reaching a humane consensus with the qualified majority of society, we must rid the public and society of the crime machines, bloodsuckers, and cancerous cells that drag it down. We cannot convince anyone without showing that what is sown is sooner or later reaped.

At the exact junction of the three continents of the old world, where seven different alphabets are used at its borders, we are a DNA botany containing extraordinary human, cultural, economic, geographical, historical, and political characteristics in every aspect. 90 million of our citizens live in our country, and 50 million live in the world. Just as we were saying that almost everything that could happen to us had happened, an earthquake that had not occurred for 500 years took place last February, and 11 of our cities were devastated; in May of the same year, millions experienced a historical delusion. It did not even take a year for those who lived through it to recover, and for those who were unintentionally led into delusion by being misdirected to realize the situation. As of now, the Z and Y generations have not yet been able to take the stage; the quarter-century-long sleepwalking state continues. In other words, even though there is not a single bone left unbroken, hope has still not been broken.

Those whose hope turns into stubbornness with every injustice they experience, those who have no branch to hold onto other than their faith, have never fallen into a minority in this country. Our country has never met the Z and Y generations in their efficient, productive state, possessing opportunity and motivation. No one calculated that those forced to leave the country as sparks would return as flames. The country's values were insulted, its faith corrupted, its assets stolen, and its people deceived, but those who committed these crimes overlooked one huge truth.

Atatürk; as a founder and savior who knew his people very well, could use human resources in the most efficient way, and was aware of the soft underbelly of the people and the republic and the enemies of freedom, insured the Republic of Turkey, his greatest work, with people like me whose ancestors came from the villages of Sivas and Kars—that is, with more than 90% of the country. The Anatolian People and the Turkish Nation, who could never enjoy the respect of a Great State and were used as an inefficient and worthless colony, met with free citizenship through the Atatürk Republic, were treated as human beings, and gained professions, property, and respect in the modern world. Just as we have endured this despotism for decades because we had no other choice, we will again, because we have no other choice, stubbornly and willingly do our best for ourselves and the next generations, using what is given by the lands and the seas, above and below, to put back what despotism has taken from us. We have no savior other than ourselves to be the "protector of the unprotected," nor do we have any choice to be saved other than to save ourselves. This time it will be harder than it was at the beginning of the last century, but we will succeed again; because we have to succeed!
