What happens if Öcalan clearly and unequivocally calls on the PKK in Turkey, the PKK-YPG in Syria, and the YPJ in Iraq to lay down their arms and end terrorist activities, and if this call finds a response? The Trump era has consequences for us, just like Assad's sudden fall and the last-minute ceasefire in Israel. Trump has taken office, and the world's greatest power will no longer be governed by a quiet democracy, but in a "my word is law" manner, both locally and internationally. All the world's old democracies are leaning toward security-oriented decisions. To overlook this would be suicide.

With the arrival of Trump, the Middle East has ceased to be the focus of the world. Many accounts had to be closed quickly. Whatever is to happen in our new opening, it seems that all kinds of agreements regarding it have been reached. The whole world is now busy with its own border and internal security problems. They are even taking Denmark's island, albeit at a price. Turkey has both legal rights gained from and waived since the Treaty of Lausanne, as well as undeniable historical ties with all its border neighbors. If the "Blue Homeland" rhetoric has been withdrawn and the territorial integrity of Syria and Iran is to be preserved, then South Azerbaijan must have been promised to Turkey from Iran. This argument aligns with the history of the anti-Iran rhetoric that suddenly began a few months ago. In any case, a project focused solely on Syria and the Kurds does not fulfill the scope of Bahçeli's initiative and leadership. There is a response they have created in society, and all stakeholders of the new process are smiling. In other words, they are sure that they will fulfill the expectations. When we combine this with our election calendar, the conclusion is that there will be a historic change in the Middle East in the next 2-3 years. If history is to flow in this direction, the ruling power can become as authoritarian as it wishes from today. If conditions are suitable, through the ballot box; if not, by reaching 400 deputies in parliament (which is possible even today if desired), Erdoğan could become president forever through a constitutional amendment.

With the 2017 constitutional amendment referendum and the 2018 presidential election, Turkey bureaucratically ceased to be a country governed by democracy. It has effectively evolved into a ruler-centric administration seen in Middle Eastern and African countries. The form of government has moved away from a multi-decision-making mechanism, that is, from democracy. It would be contrary to the ordinary flow of life for there not to be fractures among the units that make up this structure, which is dependent on a single person and the channels connected to that single person. Byzantium and the Ottoman Empire were also famous for palace intrigues. The palace has been established once and for all. I hope that those involved will one day write in their memoirs about what has been hidden from us until today and what will be hidden from now on. At least then we will learn who is who.

There is talk about who the presidential candidate will be. The subject itself is anti-democratic. The CHP should announce not one but multiple candidates and support the candidate who comes in second in the first round of the election. For many years, the French people have not given the National Rally (Rassemblement) a chance to govern in this way through broad-based cooperation. Whether this was the right choice is up to them, but I believe that their preferences will change eventually. Likewise, history is flowing in that direction for them. Just like with the AfD in Germany. Returning to our country, we can also get out of this trap by abandoning the single-candidate memorization. The CHP can support both of its candidates who want to be president with an equal budget. No one has the luxury of wearing each other down or the obligation to campaign against one another. Furthermore, a third candidate should be announced in case of the possibility of İmamoğlu being politically banned. Moreover, it is possible to reach all kinds of consensus for the second round from now. It is necessary to force the government to the earliest possible election as a whole. Because time is working against us. There is regret in the past. There must be hope in the future.
