Let 1283 go on vacation

The fact that our lieutenants, who should be held in the highest regard, are being subjected to the rhetoric of FETÖ remnants; the release of money launderers who should never see the light of day; the acquittal decisions in the Furkan Apartment case, where 21 columns were cut, leading to the deaths of 51 earthquake victims… That is the introduction. We have been living through the development for a quarter of a century. I want to get to the conclusion as soon as possible. 

Are we condemned to the drool of enemies of the republic who have not received their share of Turkish consciousness? 

While millions of young people are committing suicide due to unemployment and lack of money, are we forced to pay the salaries of those who occupy civil service positions through nepotism/references, some of whom do not even bother to go to their workplaces, and to finance their travels around the world with green passports forever? 

While we are crushed under terrible taxes for everything related to living humanely, except for the air we breathe, are we going to continue to watch the lives of those who do not pay a single penny in taxes from their wealth or from the wealth they add to their wealth on social media? 

Are we going to remain spectators as we lose our doctors, whom we cannot provide with the opportunity to work and live humanely in return for their decades of labor, to other countries? 

While we, the poor, pay the salaries of those working in courthouses, police stations, and all kinds of government offices—not with the money of the rich, but with taxes cut from everything from the bread we eat to the water we drink—are we going to accept the inhumane treatment we see in these places? 

Are we not going to speak out against working for mere subsistence on our lands and in our mines that we won by fighting, and against the exploitation of our national wealth? 

When will we admit that we have been a colony from the very beginning of the great state that used us as soldiers in war and as laborers in peace in our ancestral homeland, and did not even allow us to leave our villages? 

When will we accept that the people of Anatolia were treated as human beings with the republic, were introduced to science through village institutes, and that despite the last quarter-century, we are the society with the highest momentum in the modernization adventure that we started a thousand years behind other societies, at the level of Afghanistan?  

While the 600-year-old Balkan Turks, whose roots were dried up in the Balkan Wars, and the destroyed Ottoman works are there for all to see, are we going to wait in visa queues on August 30th at the doors of the democracy peddlers who committed these crimes? 

Are we going to die without knowing ourselves, without learning what we are and who we are, as Tanpınar said? 

No!

I am not, we are not, you are not forced or condemned to deceit, immorality, poverty, mediocrity, inhumane treatment, being despised, unhappiness, or hopelessness. 

We are millions of Hasan Tahsins who will remain loyal to the oath they took the moment they drank, and who will sacrifice their existence to correct a single wrong of the country to which they have gifted their existence. 

These are only the leaks from the walls of a cracking dam. When that wall collapses, the millions they have left hungry and despised will devour the enemies of the republic and the nation raw, and will not even leave their seeds behind.
