With the regulation published by the Health Institutes of Turkey (TÜSEB), established under the Ministry of Health, regarding the Institute of Traditional and Complementary Medicine, diagnostic and treatment standards for traditional and complementary medicine fields have been determined. The Institute has been granted authority over training programs and certification, as well as powers for research and development activities and the commercialization of developed products. The Institute has been granted certain powers to transfer methods developed with public resources to the private sector, and even to establish companies for this purpose.
Private security companies that transport money or valuables have been added to the list of institutions subject to the obligations under the Regulation on the Prevention of Laundering Proceeds of Crime and the Financing of Terrorism.
Following the General Communiqué on the Tax Procedure Law (Serial No: 591) published by the Ministry of Finance, it has become mandatory for all taxis to be equipped with a Taxi Fiscal Device that provides the option to pay by credit or debit card. According to the regulation, taximeters will also be integrated into these devices, and receipts/invoices can be printed directly from them. The legislation appears to pave the way for taxing taxis based on their actual income by integrating taximeters directly into the Ministry of Finance's system.
The Regulation on Cooperation in International Health Services has been published, allowing for part-time or case-based personnel assignments between ministry facilities holding an international health tourism authorization certificate and university hospitals. With this regulation, which covers physicians, dentists, and specialized health personnel, assignments can be made between two different institutions for specific surgeries or treatment processes.
With the amendment to the regulation regarding Carrier Materials Containing Intellectual and Artistic Works, the support to be provided for projects prepared by associations, foundations, unions, public institutions and organizations, and professional organizations has been reorganized. Now, an advance payment of up to 75% of the determined support can be made before the project is completed. The provisions of the new regulation will apply to all projects, including those whose support applications were accepted during the previous regulation period.
