Following the Presidential Decree on the Implementation of Additional Customs Duties on Imports, customs duties paid for imported products have been increased. Customs duties have been raised by 10% to 30% for automotive and spare parts, 10% to 30% for electrical/electronic products, 15% to 30% for cooling systems and refrigerator parts, 10% to 20% for LED lighting products, 5% to 15% for cable and electrical connection equipment, 5% to 15% for plastic and rubber products, 15% to 30% for lithium accumulators, 15% to 30% for outdoor tires, 15% to 30% for hand tools, up to 30% for machinery and industrial equipment, and 25% for toys. For paper and paper products, copper wire, and certain metal products, the rate of increase varies by product. Products imported exempt from customs duty will not be affected by this increase.

With Law No. 7588 on Amending Certain Laws;

-Court rulings for 'reinstatement' in lawsuits filed by MSB (Ministry of National Defense), TSK (Turkish Armed Forces), Gendarmerie, Coast Guard, Police, and MİT (National Intelligence Organization) personnel, as well as military/police students who were dismissed or not hired due to security investigations or affiliation or connection with terrorist organizations, will only be implemented after the court decision becomes final. In this respect, the decision also renders the stay of execution mechanism defined in the Administrative Procedure Law practically ineffective. Since the constitutionality of the regulation is controversial, the Constitutional Court may issue a cancellation decision regarding this regulation in the future.

-It is accepted that immovable properties allocated to public service without expropriation proceedings until October 8, 1956, the effective date of the repealed Expropriation Law No. 6830, shall be deemed expropriated as of the date of allocation; rights holders may only claim the value of the property as of the date it was allocated to public service under certain conditions, and compensation claims in lawsuits filed after the date specified in the law will not be accepted.

-Those who become officers by receiving education in medical/dentistry faculties on behalf of the Ministry of National Defense or the Ministry of Interior and who leave before completing their mandatory service period or are dismissed due to lack of discipline will not be able to practice medicine in civilian health institutions until their obligation periods expire.

-Officers who leave the Turkish Armed Forces for any reason, with some exceptions, will not be able to be reinstated as active-duty personnel in the TSK again.

-Contracted privates will be able to transition to public positions such as prison and detention house guards, watchmen, forest protection officers, municipal police, firefighters, drivers, and security guards after serving for at least 7 years. Public institutions and organizations will meet 10% of their total personnel recruitment quotas for that year from such personnel.

-Army houses and military casinos have also been legally included in the status of "military zone." This change means that stricter security measures will be taken in these areas and visitors will almost never be admitted.

The Regulation on Child Care Centers to be Opened by Public Institutions and Organizations, which has been in effect since 1987, has been renewed, and the minimum number of children required to open a childcare center for the children of public officials has been reduced from 50 to 30. In addition, childcare centers that can provide 24/7 service can be opened for public personnel working on a shift or rotation basis, such as doctors, nurses, police officers, and soldiers.
