The Constitutional Court;

- Published the reasoningfor its violation ruling regarding Tayfun Kahraman, one of the defendants in the Gezi Parkcase. In the decision, the Court stated that the lower courts failed to substantiate the link to violence regarding Tayfun Kahraman's social media posts, which were deemed provocative, and that the Court of Cassation upheld the sentence based on wiretap recordsthat were not included in the reasoning of the court of first instance,and that the "Taksim Solidarity"platform's activities were within the scope of freedom of assembly. The Court concluded that the conviction violated the right to liberty and security.despite not being accepted as a criminalorganization in other trials, itcharacterized it as a criminal organizationin the Tayfun Kahraman case,and stated that this was notbased on anyjustification, thereby grounding the decisions for rights violations and retrialaccordingly.
