In the final days of May 2013, the Gezi Park protests began with a night of violent intervention by police, used without cause.

Due to the "enemy law" applied by law enforcement to protesters at every opportunity, the protesters suffered great grievances, and this situation found a strong response among the broad masses of the public.

The Turkish police were intervening against their own people with cries of "Allah Allah." At that time, since the extent to which FETÖ had infiltrated the state was not known, the phenomenon of police viewing their own people as enemies was not fully understood by the opposition. The public also met Halk TV during this period, specifically because of Gezi. Gezi is on the agenda again. However, this time the process is being carried out quite consciously.

About a month ago, rumors were circulated in the TV and film industry that all roads led to a talent agent named Ayşe Barım. At the end of this process, where actors who did not work with her poured their hearts out to some extent, it certainly would not have occurred to anyone that Barım would be detained due to the Gezi Park protests.

The next day, the lottery hit Halk TV, which had made a name for itself with Gezi Park. Channel programmers Serhan Asker, Seda Selek, and Barış Pehlivan were detained for broadcasting a recording of a phone call made with a forensic expert on their program. On Friday, January 31, 2025, it will be the turn of Ekrem İmamoğlu, who first shared the name of this expert with the public, to give his statement to the prosecutor's office.

It is clear that there is a need for an agenda. The transformation of the fire disaster in Kartalkaya into a national day of mourning also confirms this claim. Likewise, declaring the deaths of vacationers who went skiing a national day of mourning is a behavior that fits neither their nature nor their political calendar. The arrest of mayors, investigations, and every detention operation carried out on Fridays should not be evaluated within this scope.

However, the detention or arrest of social media influencers and OnlyFans content creators, and the exposure of business relationships that have continued exactly the same way for decades at talent agencies, are purely a smokescreen offensive. They have to keep people from talking about the difficult winter conditions we have entered amidst a severe economic crisis and the process being conducted with Öcalan until the horse has crossed the Bosphorus. There is a time that must pass, paths that must be walked, and problems that must be solved for conditions to mature.

Unthinkable things have also begun to happen in the outside world. A historic change is about to take place in Germany. Denmark is in contact with its Scandinavian neighbors for the protection of Greenland.

The French Foreign Minister announced that they are ready to send troops to Greenland, even though Denmark has no such request. After all, Greenland is European Union territory, and all of Europe has a legal obligation to protect those glaciers.

The sanction power held by the US is legally capable of opening any door. Soldiers and weapons are very expensive; instead, bringing both democracies and dictatorships into line with economic sanctions is both easy and practical.

Likewise, sanctions can be put into effect immediately with a single signature. Therefore, wherever we are, life is now a minefield for all of us.
