Blue Moon, blue shirt: Physical performance in political marketing

The moon is wearing a blue shirt today like an old fairy tale character; its far side is like a story that once was and once wasn't.

We saw the far side of the moon for the first time on April 1, 2026; it’s like a joke... Today is May 31, there is a Blue Moon in the sky. A Blue Moon is not the moon actually being blue; it is the appearance of two full moons in a single month from Earth. Earthlings love to name things, to define them, Earthlings love to look at the moon...

Now, I am a piece of stone on the far side of the moon, I am “from afar.” I look at the world like an alien looking from the Blue Moon. My eyes are like a full moon... The events I have the most difficulty understanding while looking from the moon generally unfold in the Middle East geography. I don't know the reason, I am “from afar.” I am a piece of stone. I only keep what I see in my memory.

They called what I last saw a “film” first, and then “politics in Turkey.”

Politics? What is that? Is it something you throw or catch?

“It’s like football,” they said, “you have to have fans.”

Like football? Are you supposed to throw a ball out and run after it?

The ball is round, if it goes into this goal it’s a goal, if it goes into that goal it’s a goal (!)

And is football suitable for all ages anyway? Can everyone play this game?

Speaking of games, there was a series called “Moonlighting” (Mavi Ay) on television screens in the 80s. Now there is a man, he walks 420 km, then he wants to sit down. He just can't seem to sit.

The date is June 15, 2017; 9 years ago. A 420 km, 25-day march from Ankara to Istanbul begins.

Name of the Performance: “Justice March” Starring: The Chief Walker

I am thinking from the far side of the moon, like a stone on the moon. Above both politics and the world: The view is dire, the public is exhausted and weary. Divided a bit by Moses and a bit by Jesus.

Divided… Like a sea parted by Moses' staff. They say those who fall into the sea cling to a snake, so people turned left and right to find a snake. It’s not a fairy tale, it’s not a legend, and it’s certainly not an epic. What snake, they have been struggling inside a dragon.

They wanted to turn every frog they saw into a prince. Fairy tales for children, politics for adults.

Pardon the expression, but I ask: Why do so many intellectuals, so many enlightened people, so many people with ideas still play for the leader rather than the idea? Like the game of Old Maid, whoever is left holding the card at the end...

Is no one growing up, is no one getting wiser? Yesterday that man, today this man; a man is needed to follow and applaud. Only underdeveloped societies follow a man they find.

Then they say “we were wrong,” and curse the hands that voted, the photos where they stood side by side. They used to curse those who didn't think like them, too. Just like now... People find themselves in a constant state of cursing and being “deceived.” One said “the man won,” another made hearts with their hands in the air for someone else.

Unable to unite and follow the trail of a pair of blue eyes, they could not see the far side of the moon…
